#78 TF2 update for 7/8/15 (7/9/15 UTC) in TF2 General Discussion
mustardoverlordthe worst thing about the medigun switching thing, which I don't see enough people talking about, is how difficult it makes it for a caller to keep track of the other team's charge

I don't care if you're fuckin rain man, there are too many variables to account for to actually know what their uber is atm

I don't think it is that big of a deal. It would only be difficult if the medic died with an uber advantage and did not deny the medigun drop. You can count ubers just like you did before as long as you do not drop your medigun.

#76 TF2 update for 7/8/15 (7/9/15 UTC) in TF2 General Discussion

I think the best would be if the medigun kept 50% of it's uber when dropped and also despawned after 10 seconds. This means you can't have two ubercharges at once, medics can't pick up their own medigun after they respawened, but the whole depth of picking up other people's mediguns would still be there.

cirloDistances:
San Francisco (a random city on the west coast) - New York: 4.128,86 km
Moscow (I dunno where Shadowburn exactly lives) - New York: 7.509,78 km
Berlin (a random city in the center of Europe) - New York: 6.384,80 km
San Francisco - Lisbon (a random city on the EU west coast): 9.117,10 km
San Francisco - Reikiavich: 6.757,71 km
Moscow - Reichiavich: 3.305,50 km

Conclusion: Play with an Iceland server!

Icelandic servers are routed through the UK, so it would increase the ping for both europeans and americans.

#22 ETF2L Premiership Week 6: Danger Dogs by TF2Pickup.net vs. Fenneks eSports in Events

Okay,

Vod will not be available because there was a production error on the second map that I wasn't aware of when streaming, and also due to the little incident at the end of the interviews...

For those who are still interested in the audio commentary, it can be found here: https://www.dropbox.com/sh/1x8ngccl62otcd6/AACrOwPu_OIgJSfOmk8m5Y6ua?dl=0

Sorry for the inconvenience everyone.

DoctorMiggyquintoshAC work is a fuckload of workIt can be but it's generally not too much if you only got a handful of demos to review.

It's definitely more than a handful that you have to review. I've watched 250+ demos since I became an AC admin (october 2014), but reviewing demos is only half of the work. We also have to work with catching people who play on alts, so that players don't play on two teams in the same season. Writing up newpost and developing routines and following up on demo requests also take a lot of effort. It's like a part time job.

VanguardDLKHerr_P thinks KnOxXx is a backup because he's actually the one getting cut so KnOxXx can make his Prem Scout debut.

Yup, knoxxx is playing scout for TLR vs Reason. Nicely called.

DigresserjeeringsoleA player who is attacked often can use a VPN to protect their IP address. VyprVPN has a service meant for eSports with DDoS protection. Unfortunately it does increase the cost of entry for playing in matches.
Using a VPN is against the Steam Subscriber Agreement. Thus far Valve have only punished people who have used a VPN to engage in fraudulent activities, but people are taking a small risk if they choose to use one.
Ond_kaja2. Don't accept random skype/steam calls. Steam/skype voice calls are P2P so they can get your IP from this..
With Steam calls, just receiving the call exposes the IP; you don't even have to accept it. Be careful about accepting friend requests, especially near matchtime.

Nah, Valve patched that exploit some months ago. You don't reveal your IP until you accept the call nowadays.
