HonsterCould you post a page on either your website, the github wiki, or even just in a block of text here with the default static net settings of mastercoms and the to-flavor options of net-setting related aliases(such as snapshots_safe etc)? Like in a format thats easy for someone not using mastercoms to paste into their autoexec.

I see a lot of people using either default or super harsh net settings ask for suggestion or trying to troubleshoot issues and while I'm happy with the ones I use from mastercoms I'm not really comfortable recommending them myself because I dont know shit about them and I dont want miss anything digging through aliases for the actual values.

wonderlandrate makes no difference unless:
-its set too low to handle the game traffic
-its set too high for your internet connection

realistically rate 100000 is complete overkill. there is no difference in gameplay between 60k and 100k. 60k is also higher than necessary.

Rate actually does make a difference. It determines the delay between packets (throttling packets based on bandwidth). Sure, at a certain point, the delay becomes negligible, but it's much further down the line than your conditions.

What's especially not true is 60,000 being higher than necessary. The bytes per packet in TF2 regularly average at around 1000, and even split packets sometimes, so a rate of 85008 to 170016 would technically be the sweet spot, with anything past that helping slightly more but not noticeably.

lem0n_Hello fellow people.
Im using mastercomfig 7 alpha for quite a while, its working like a charm.
Now, an hour before, all of a sudden nothing works anymore. When i boot up the game and the loading is finished it instantly close itself and im back on the desktop. I tried reinstalling of course, veryfied the game files and still not chance to boot it up again. When i clear mastercomfig from my custom folder, everything works like it should.
Are there any suggestions what kind of problem is happening?

I have a question with custom interp settings with your config, I installed the apk preset via the mastercomfig application with my custom settings (basically stripped preset with the killfeed, hitsound, killsound, floating damage numbers) and the config sets my lerp ingame on the net graph to 40.5. Do I need to create a .cfg file and name it config.cfg with the interp commands to get 15.2 lerp? I would appreciate the help.

Stripped preset doesn't exist anymore, the equivalent in the Very Low preset. But in any case, you should stop using it because you seem to not any of its functionality (HUD disabling, low network settings). Low would work better for you.

As for custom settings, those are set in tf/cfg/custom.cfg. I would not recommend 15.2 lerp.

Dr_HeinzOn this map (http://bit.ly/1JXz4ci) there are some green adjustable numbers, but with the low config you can't see those. What setting do I have to change in order to see them?

Could you elaborate on what you mean by green adjustable numbers?

#7 Antivirus hindering my style in Hardware

The two ways you can get a virus are through zero day exploits or being irresponsible.

You can't protect yourself against a targeted zero day besides keeping software up to date and anti-virus won't help.

And if you don't click on suspicious links, click random ads or trust any website and download whatever onto your PC, you'll be good.
