Hello
with there being a tf2 tournament at the dreamhack venue in about a month and us having no sponsor (we're only playing under epsi's name for nostalgia). our problem is that Epsi don't really want to fully support TF2 again right now and the other couple of organisations I've approached are in the same boat, not seeing enough return from sponsoring a TF2 team.
I want to ask what sort of perks you guys would like to see if I decided to set up a fundraiser for us to make it to DH. I've literally no idea what people would want offered to them, and normally I'm against fundraisers but with the LAN only a month away I don't really see another option.
so again, what would you want for donating to this fundraiser? coaching sessions? more streams of all our games (mike is the only one that can stream atm I think)? literally no idea, tell me

Definitely coaching sessions.
Definitely coaching sessions.
just make sure that whatever you can be followed through. people want to see you at dreamhack, and they'll give money either way, but it leaves a sour taste to be promised something and then it takes 6 months to see the return promised.
better to make the incentives small and easy even if they aren't 'worth' what people are giving for them.

I'm not a fan of most small incentives though, like weapon signings for example. if anyone wants a weapon signed they just add me and I'll do it, something small like that shouldn't cost.
what I'd love to do for this is team coaching sessions. I was going to personally set aside 2 nights each week (1 night per team) where I watch over a demo of theirs, write some notes and talk through the game with them for the coaching perk. individual sessions is where I think coaching becomes tricky (in terms of time keeping)

9PM EST to around 11:30 or 12
edit: some teams do play earlier, but it's rare

I could sit on the first scrim/watch a demo back with them at an earlier time/on a weekend and go over the notes etc

I would definitely support this since it's an event that I can actually go to. I would say coaching sessions are highly appreciated. Would also like seeing something like the Vanilla Tv insight again. Those are really helpful.

Dunno, maybe something like a cup hosted specifically with an aim to gather donations with na teams invited, so we could get an early taste of i58 knoxx's salt :) Something silly like eu vs na 9v9 could also work.

Agreed. The only thing I could even think of was POV VODs from your games on youtube.

There's a guy in the CS community who goes around donating a ton of money named Motar2k, just trying to make a joke comparing you two. You're both always willing to help out.

There isn't enough space or enough time to get NA teams over.

This event was so short notice you wouldn't believe. I'm writing up the announcement now but think of it this way - this is just the beginning steps, we aren't going all guns blazing intercontinental bonanza this year, but it's a good step in the right direction. If you're planning intercontinental stuff you need months of preparation, fundraising etc.
