Mumble overlay issue?

For a while now my mumble overlay has looked terrible, the names are constantly giant and bright white, like every person is constantly talking. I found what I think is the root of the issue, in the overlay the state of people is set to talking, not passive. I try to change their state back to passive, but it just reverts itself back to how it was before. Does anyone know how to fix this?

What are your launch options? I know some will/did do that.

If you're using a fps config remove mat_antialias from it

hookyWhat are your launch options? I know some will/did do that.

-dxlevel 98 -sw -w 1920 -h 1080 -console -novid -noborder -useforcedmparms -noforcemaccel -noforcemspd

ScizorIf you're using a fps config remove mat_antialias from it

It's set to mat_antialias 4, wont removing it change the graphics a bit?

Using a DX9 config with some of slins graphics settings run on top of it

One thing is always remove the dxlevel "-dxlevel 98" after launching it as it constantly resets your graphic options unless set in autoexec and could be the problem but beats me. Whenever I changed my graphic options I have to restart because the mumble overlay is messed.

Have you tried mumble 1.2.4 snapshot? I know it's fixed a lot of overlay issues for me.

Try adding -nod3d9ex to your launch options. It fixes several mumble overlay issues. NOTE: using this launch option will make tf2 act like dogshit when you alt tab.

Can someone help me with my specific problem? I'm playing in dx 90, and these are the only things that are in my launch options (to fix the ShaderAPIDx8 spam in console during matchmaking cuz Volvo is shit.)

-force_vendor_id 0x10DE -force_device_id 0x1180

I was told it forces the game to use a certain graphics card or some shit like that. Regardless, mumble overlay becomes white boxes, I'm not able to see any names at all, and it completely blocks the kill feed so I can't keep track of player ads (aside from tapping tab, but if you see a flood of blu or red in kill feed you can mostly guess without doing that)

Is there something in there that is messing it up? I only have a custom hud, and no cfgs at all.

No idea what those commands are or what they do but I've found that after the first time I launch in dx8 or 9, if I keep - dxlevel in the launch options it messes with the mumble overlay like you described. If you can't get it to work I don't see why you wouldn't just go into mumble and disable it-there's no point in an overlay that blocks the kill feed. I've found mumble overlays to be super fucky and half the time even if I do everything the same as usual it doesn't show up, so it might just be that mumble is broken or something lol.
