Buy a decent headset and buy a mic. Something like a modmic/zalman clip on will work fine.
For mousepads, Talent and the Goliathus Control are some that a lot of people use. The QCK goes bald fairly quickly. I use a Talent myself and if the consistency changes, I just wash it.

Keyboard, all down to whatever looks good man. Filco, KBC, Ducky, Das, etc.

Its cheaper to buy a quality pair of headphones and a $7 clipon mic. Sound quality is better, the headphones don't look autistic and you save like $40.

Don't buy gaming headsets. Buy standalone headphones and a clip-on mic or something. Ducky Shine keyboards are pretty sweet, but it depends on how much money you are willing to dish out. It's probably better to get a good monitor/mouse/GPU, etc (depending on what you have already and the quality of it all) before you go with the keyboard.

edit: also i've had v2's for at least 2 years and they worked for ages until the mic died on it, bought another cheap mic to replace it

Been using my Qck+ for like 3 years and it's still perfectly fine

get a 120hz monitor and if you dont already get a big mousepad, really doesn't matter which, just very big. Headphones dont matter maybe a cheap headset or headphones plus zalman clip on mic. Keyboard, anything 10 keyless or less is good, mechanical does not make u better its just preference(This keyboard is just as good). Zowie is good, logitech g400 is good deathadder is good, dont get the acer 120hz monitor. Wirelsss headsets are nice if you hate cables, but make sure to get the logitech one. dont get a 300$ headset. Good/wide mousepads ACTUALLY improve your game especially with a low sens. at the very end of the day do shade still plays with a 2 dollah mouse on a laptop.

I never understood the "don't buy the v2 just get headphones and a mic you'll save money" argument.

So let's say a clip-on mic is $10 and you're supposed to be saving "like $40"... I'm very interested in seeing what kind of "quality" headphones you can find for $4.

I've had my Siberias for 4-5 years and they're still working fine despite the fact that I've rolled over the cable about 3000 times with my chair. Don't think I've had anyone ever complain about mic quality. (Except for when my sound card was being wonky)

Keyboard related: Can't comment on the Duckys but Filco makes really good keyboards. I have the tenkeyless Majestouch 2 with brown switches and absolutely love it. It's also built like a tank and doesn't have a bunch of extra pointless buttons or disco lights under the keys.

get a goliathus razer control. much better than qck

Completely a matter of opinion, but I have tried the QcK, Goliathus Speed, and Puretrak Talent and I VERY much prefer the Talent to the others. I prefer a slick cloth pad and the Talent is absolutely amazing and the machine washable is very convenient. I recommend it

I wear mousepads down pretty quickly and I have had my goliathus control for 4 years with no issues.

Do yourself a favor and get a quick fire tk, only buy the shine if you want to waste 70$

Gaming headsets are generally garbage sound quality. "Gaming" features add a lot of cost and they usually aren't worth the compromise in quality. It's worth it to spend $20+ to just get a decent pair of headphones. They work, but they aren't worth it unless you really care about looks or a built in mic.

For keyboards Filco is really good, too. Both Ducky and Filco make some pretty nice stuff.

If you have the money definitely get a 120+HZ monitor first. I wish I had.

yeah you don't need a massive mousepad if you don't have a low sens

I have a Ducky Zero TKL with browns. it's amazing. coming from a regular keyboard, it feels a ton better, typing and gaming. I don't have any experience with other mech keyboards, but I would recommend the ducky to anyone.

I also have a QCK heavy XL. its nice. i like it, its squishy and durable.

Get some ATH M50s/x or something that's actually a really nice set of cans and just use a zalman mic

1) The v2s are only on sale on the amazon.com website, which isnt available to you or OP so Id say your point is already irrelevant.

2) Assuming the price was $53 everywhere, Im fairly confident you can find better or equal sounding headphones for $45

3) The average price is a lot closer to $80-100 in which case you definitely save money for equal sounding headphones if you are OP or an average American when they arent on sale

4) Gaming headsets tends to be USB as to use one cord. Buying a separate mic and headphones lets you actually use your headphones elsewhere, and in public without looking like a tool.

edit: Also I should mention I know where you are coming from as I had 3 gaming headsets before buying separate headphones, and I had no idea there was a difference until I tried real headphones. The build quality and comfort of actual headphones is so far ahead in the $40+ price range that I could never wear gaming headphones again.

1) Fair. I assumed amazon didnt ship internationally. Ive tried ordering from there before from Canada and been told the product didnt ship to me. It seems a bit strange to me though that you order these headphones from .com and save $30 over .ca while paying <$30 shipping. When you take them to the checkout and select your address what price does it say?

2) On my phone Ill do it later if no one else does it first.

3) Likewise if you want to go sale hunting he can do the same for headphones.

4) I provided general counterpoints from headphones since you asked, not just in relation to OP. Sure it might not apply to him but its for sure a valid point for headphones over gaming headsets in general.

Choosing any other color headset sets the shipping price to $8 while choosing the black ($53) sets it to like $30. Not sure how that makes sense.
The orange one kept the $8 shipping though, and that one is listed as $59.99.

I've run into a good amount of stuff that doesn't ship to Canada, although usually it's all the same kind of thing. (I could not find an electric toothbrush that shipped here for whatever reason)
