Zowie FK Problem

Recently I bought a Zowie FK preemptively assuming my G400 will die sometime soon, and today I just started noticing a weird issue.

Problem:
My Mouse does not track like it should, actually this mouse tracks almost as well as a 400dpi $5 mouse I got for a short period of time about a year ago. I am noticing significant pixel skipping at very low movement speeds at all 3 DPI settings. I am running windows 8, and I reused my g400 to test if it was just the OS and it is not.

What I think the problem is:
I think the sensor might be dirty which is kinda odd cause I got this mouse like 6 days ago, on a mousepad I had just cleaned and have never had this issue with my g400. Though the little plastic covering (which I assume is their to lower the lift off distance) makes it difficult to clean. I even tested this by blowing into it and trying to get condensation to build up to see if I could get a similar but more noticeable result, which it was. Problem is I am not sure how I should go about cleaning the sensor or if their's something else I am missing with Zowie FK mice.

The sensor setup for Zowie mice does not play well with many surfaces. Generally, only black cloth mats play well (although the puretrak talent works for mine). If you think your mousepad is fine, call Zowie about your problem, they are a pretty decent company.

I use a Steel Series QCK+ black mouse pad, and I clean it 1-2x a month.

mixtape-Air duster worked wonders for me. I recently got one too and it started fucking up a bit when tracking. Turns out my pad was pretty dusty so i just got my air vaccum and blasted both my pad and sensor. Its fine now.

You just reminded me I have a air duster lol, I'll go try that now.

Yeah your best bet is the compressed air. Happens to my sensei every now and again. It's worse if your mouse feet are thin.
