Then why do people sometimes pay to get signed stuff by professional basketball/baseball/football players? Because they enjoy what they do, like what they do, and are a fan of that activity and person. It's kinda called "supporting what you like and enjoying things in life".

This is a good point, I don't see how a permanent (?) ban is an appropriate response to him having a contrarian or even inflammatory opinion. It just feels like an unfair and somewhat heavy handed use of authority to keep the fundraising threads clean of any argument or unrest.

If there was a way for me to only restrict him from the charity threads, I would have done so. But trying to belittle and derail an active charity event is inexcusable and petty and I will not tolerate it.
