It's because being a leader is hard, and not many people want to do it as a result. I've done it for four years now - it's not easy. I am just lucky that I have mostly been able to play with like minded and nice/fun people (minus the dicklords that I had to boot in the past) for the four years that I've been a leader.

You have to put a lot of time and commitment into being a leader, and it is actually quite straining on one's psyche. Managing drama, thinking of different strategies, main calling (presumably), just to name a few.

The only games that I can really play extensively are Turn Based Strategy games and 4X (Shogun 2 & Civ 5 come to mind) or RPG's (Witcher, etc). Anything else and I typically lose interest after a certain amount of time. The only game that I have finished recently that is contrary to what I'm saying is Bioshock: Infinite.

This is unrelated to TF2, though, as I don't really play it that much period.

I was around this time but I didn't find out I would be 'til extremely last minute, so I wasn't able to help unfortunately. I may be around for the next one, so if you need a +1 let us know!

They were held up quite a while by the demo issues. Not only that, there have been some rl events which have no doubt slowed the production of this, too. I'm sure it is coming along; it is definitely no small task.

It probably is, actually. I was doing something similar to this with seeker last October where at the EB Games Expo we were to showcase TF2 "competitively", and the best way for us to do that was MGE. All we did was talk about the mod, what it's for, decision making process in the situations in mge, and talked about TF2

We also did a bit of try hard pubbing with one of us medicing the other & describing thought process when doing stuff. It was pretty fun and a decent amount of people enjoyed it.
