#13 demoman help in TF2 General Discussion
fahrenheitSince Demoman's nerf you basically have to prioritize staying alive more than previous iterations of Demoman in the meta. Never be at the front to initiate fights or try to take fights 1v1 since the class turned into a big squishy babbu. Only play midrange if it's not a huge risk you'll die and if team is around you or if you have someone with you (most of the time).

Demo didn't actually get much weaker in 1v1s due to the nerf... Stickies that hit the ground before detting have full, instant, pre-nerf damage radius. With a scout +forwarding you your stickies are going to be ground stickies, not air dets. The nerf primarily weakened the ability to do mid range and long range damage.

#153 ESA Rewind LAN: Day 2 in Events
aslLmao, prize pools are more detrimental to the flow of 6s than any unlock will ever be.

This is wrong.
As kaidus once explained on stream:

-Small prize pool: one team (crowns / se7en) refuses to take unnecessary risks, other teams struggle to break their holds

-Large prize pool: all teams refuse to take unnecessary risks, however because this becomes common, and there is a decent prize, all teams have an incentive to become more proficient at pushing and breaking these stalemates

The reason we see stalemates with this amount of prize money is because it is easy to defend; it's easy to play safe, like se7en does, without a huge amount of practice. If there was a larger prize pool, competing teams would also have the incentive to spend more time practising how to PUSH more efficiently - as this is a much harder skill to develop.

The reality is that games with se7en become stalemates not only because se7en refuse to push, it is equally due to the fact that teams don't practise pushing from 2nd into mid with even ubers. If the game was bigger and there was more motivation to spend hours practising, teams would become much better at this (to counter to "crowns style") and hence the game would speed up.

#4 AHK scripts. in Customization

Theres a tf2 script for that but it requires the wait command. If ETF2L doesnt allow wait then using AHK would be an unfair advantage.

Regardless, its a completely useless script and using it will only make you worse at demo

#2 Rollout.cfg in Customization

why do you have all this tele shit? the only rollout practice you need is starting in spawn, and doing all the jumps to mid.
this is what i use:

// Usage: 'exec rollout'

// Set up the server (These are for use in offline practice mode).
// Change 'net_fakelag' to whatever half of what your ping normally is.
alias setupserver "mp_tournament 1; sv_allow_wait_command 1; sv_cheats 1; net_fakelag 15"

// All the stuff for rolling out.
// Change hurt me to whatever buff you want
// -180ish for demo
alias reroll "mp_restartgame 1; wait 2400; hurtme -180" //250 for old gran

// Change the bind here
bind 5 reroll

// Exec the setup commands
setupserver

mp_respawnwavetime 0

just have to add the command that allows you to sticky jump in spawn, never bothered to find it myself

#28 Leaked Donald Trump Comments in World Events
BeelthazusHonestly, the united states is the type of place where you can be born poor, retarded, and completely inept of any core human values and people will still want to elect you to office just because they can. The majority of us don't believe in eugenics or natural selection like most Euros do.

#10 A few questions about null-movement scripts in Q/A Help

if you can master it, movement stops mid-air as scout are really useful for dodging projectiles. null-movement script will by default make your movement ~ok~ but if you want to get really skilled at scout i'd avoid it and just learn how to utilise all of your wasd keys properly. everything the script gives you can be achieved without it, its just harder to learn.

Does granary really need more advantages for soldiers though? Surely ramps favouring scouts adds a little flavour to the map
