if u wanted to average the skill in open it would probably be plat+, but there will always be teams that could compete in IM at the top of open.

and no one really uses the pug system for tf2

haven't played with him too extensively, but he's always been a nice dude as far as i'm concerned. he backed up on the grime last season and played for us in a playoff match without any warning when farn's internet dropped. i can't say much to his reputation outside of that but showing up last minute to play an esea playoff match for team you've never played with before ranks highly in my book.

most of the important things you should be doing while roaming aren't going to be tracked in stats. uber forces, drawing attention/distracting, and just being a general nuisance are all critical to being a good roamer and none of those show up in stats. you can inflate your damage by bombing a lot, but what good is 280 dpm if you're dying without accomplishing anything? it's way more important to focus on team synergy and fulfilling your role in that regard than to worry about stats.
