BloodisWhile I do agree that the system yak proposed is definitely better than what we had planned, it would not only be a second time we have changed the entire bracket system in a really short time to confuse a lot of people out playing in the qualifiers but also happening in only about 6 hours before the matches themselves would start.
So, you've created a flawed and unfair system and have found a better solution? Why not implement it? It's almost as if this decision wasn't thought through originally! It's not like all of the games are scheduled at different times or on different days. Every single team has scheduled for today at 21:15. Changing the team that they are playing against is only a formality as all the teams are already ready to play. I don't see how this would be confusing.

How is this "dumb"? The casters are ready to cast a game anyway. Changing the game that is casted is again, only a formality. There are times where the intended game isn't casted anyway, how would this be any different. As for the scheduling and organising - all teams have scheduled and organised for today at 21:15 so it's not like there's a logistical problem here.
Bloodisafter all the preparation put in just because some teams in the qualifiers gave the admins none to bad results during the sign-up process as we always have highly recommended for teams in qualifiers to do.
How has this got anything to do with creating a massively unfair qualifying system?
BloodisWith all that said, the feedback that we have received so far for the entire qualifiers is not completely going to waste, I do now agree myself that putting both of the two lower bracket teams against each other on the first round is a big disappointment and will very likely not happen in the future anymore.
Right, so you've received feedback, agree with the feedback and are unwilling to change the format whilst you still can. This doesn't make sense; there is ample time to change the format, as shown in my other points in this post. It's just a formality. I also would argue that it's not just a disappointment - it's an injustice.

New qualifier bracket, essentially the two losers of the upper bracket get another shot to qualify to prem before dropping down to the lower bracket
yak made the astute observation that since all games have been scheduled on the same day at the same time you could reasonably swap some matches around to make the bracket much fairer and not delay the season start any more.
at the moment you've got the very dumb situation where the only 2 teams in the bracket who were alive last season have to win 2 matches in a row (no losses) to qualify while the 4 (pretty arbitrarily chosen) teams in the top bracket get literally 3 chances to win a single game
