Yeah, it's much easier to learn PHP since it's C based syntax. Don't want to have to learn an entire new language syntax (Python is the closest thing I know to it) just to code.

When is it going to cool down? Last 2-3 weeks have been terrible.
I recently uninstalled the game because it was pretty laggy and they only opened up during certain time slots (also wanted to try SFM out, but it's 11 GB and even firefall wasn't enough). If any of you guys are going to play again I'll reinstall and do multiplayer (which was OK imo, just very stupid teams and laggy feel). Headshots seemed really generous though.
I guess I should change it from a lot to a majority. It's just really interesting how 80% of us have trained ourselves to think of the worst situation for our comms (breaking up or people too focused on killing someone to hear it the first time).
I've noticed that a lot of people (myself included) call things twice. ie "They're coming flank, they're coming flank" and "Medic's down, medic's down" etc. Just wondering if people think it's worth it to make sure people heard or does it just clog up comms. It's become a huge habit for plenty of people, but I might consciously try to stop doing it since I'm pretty sure it's not necessary.
Most of the Olympics is based off athleticism. Like enigma said, needs a history too. Can't just slap on athlete to cyber and expect the rest of the world to take it seriously.
Also, how family-friendly are video games that involve killing? Not gonna work well.
Maybe VR games, but otherwise it's just going to be its own event. Like X-Games and stuff like that.
kirbyIf you're looking for a video game community to be a part of that doesn't constantly call out people for being dumb, or doesn't have people being dumb in general, or anything of relevance to those two, then you're playing the wrong game. This is the TF2 community like it or not, either make it your home or don't. No other options to be honest.
Depending on how a person comes off, people generally aren't mean. If a person comes off as a know it all or is condescending, or maybe just blatantly posting in an idiotic manner people will attack them.
