#7 Ratz Instagib in Off Topic

It's pretty much that, but for some reason my work computer gave me permission to DL the Unity player, so this will literally be my lunch break during Summer School.

Also, benroads, the chat is a little wonky, I didn't see your post, I would've said "hey". The movement is sort of weird, in that it is the opposite of TF2/Quake, strafing kills speed, and +forward builds it. I mean, it actually makes sense, we've just got decades of experience telling us that pressing W kills momentum.

Considering this was apparently this guy's first game, I'd love to see what he could come up with with an actual budget.

Awesome, fast-paced little game. Great if you've ever wanted to play Quake on your lunch break. It's also on Steam Greenlight!

#22 IGL Highlander League in TF2 General Discussion

Right now you have to create a site account, then link your steam to your site account afterward. It's inconvenient, but doesn't really break it. A lot of little things on the site are broken, but there's usually a work-around.

Change of plans! We're moving our match to Saturday, 6/1 at 12pm PST! DOOR and Party Team have been scrim partners for a while now, and most of our scrims have been nail-biters, so we're expecting it to be a lot of fun!

Party Team will be facing Dedoris on Monday, 6/3/2013. Not sure if we'll be the inaugural match, but it's the earliest we can both pull off. Once we've played, we'll pop in here to let you guys know how things went!

Austin has quite a bit of internet traffic. It's a college town with a thriving arts and music scene, AKA tons of people between 18-30. Not all of TX is deserts and cowboys.

#5 New 6v6 Team looking to get our asses kicked. in Mentoring
TavyThis is a great attitude to have for your team. I hope you all go far

Thanks for the kind words!

R3VoltWanna do weekly scrims on Tuesday at 8:00 PM EST?

Sure, we'd love to do something like this! It may need to be closer to 8:30, if that is okay. I'm west coast, so I walk in the door at 8pm est a lot of night. Add "tomroadrunner" on steam at your leisure.
What league/div are you guys in? We have a pretty stable server (in Detroit) with all the gadgets installed, so we can host whenever needed.

#1 New 6v6 Team looking to get our asses kicked. in Mentoring

We're looking for an experienced team to kick our asses once a month, then tell us why you kicked our asses.

Each of us is receiving individual mentoring, but we're sort of in a rut of either rolling teams or getting rolled then losing contact with the team that beat us (most likely because they figured we weren't worth the time).

We are financially unable to enter ESEA Open as of right now, so we're looking to recreate that "HOLY MOTHER OF GOD WE'RE GETTING BEAT SO HARD WE NEED TO SHAPE UP" experience in neat little bite-sized chunks.

We understand that this arrangement wouldn't be necessarily mutually beneficial, which is why we'd only ask for a once-a-month arrangement. Basically, come in, kick our asses for 30 minutes, then quickly tell us what holes you were exploiting for 30 minutes or less, then go on your merry way. Any extra time would be welcome, but not required in the least.

Yeah, for HL it's looking like an either/or sort of situation, unless you stack matches on top of each other.

#161 Origins of Your Name/Alias in Off Topic

Back when I was 13 years old, there was a class on "How to Use the Internet" at our middle school. One of our assignments was to sign up for an email account. My favorite car at the time was the Plymouth Roadrunner.

I decided that my name should be "tomroadrunner", and it has stuck with me for 13 years.

Most people think it's a reference to the cartoon character, I don't really care enough to correct them. At LANFest my wife attended as "cyncoyote", so I've sort of accepted the reference at this point.
