too bad in other environments (like pubs and highlander - the ways game is intended to be played and is balanced around) demoman is not so perfect and clearly has plenty of issues

Bolt healing is very high and significantly out-heals the Medigun when the target is in combat. This might be okay given the trade-offs (risk-vs-reward of ranged shots hitting and the opportunity cost, no overheal).

The uber building needs to be nerfed, just remove uber building completely and make it a heal only weapon. The uber building seems to be the most op thing so just leave the healing mechanics how they are because of what they said in the quote

I doubt this will help but I had this problem occasionally but I removed -nod3d9ex from my launch options (dont know if it can be put into a config) and the problem went away.

Or you could try adding it lol. I'm not sure if it actually does anything but someone told me it removed some directx features
