tambotojobut not to derail anymore than I already have, I think tambo does have a point now that he’s spit it out in a way that it doesn’t just seem like he’s shrugging off a very very real issue. I do think it is something to be thought about but I also feel like now is not the time to be like “we should protest how under funded black communities are (or whatever else) instead of this! that’s the real issue!” bcus even tho there’s truth to ur sentiment, the relevant issue is racism in the police force, and abuse of power. so instead of trying to poison people with “Well actually Cops Aren’t AS RACIST as Social Media May Have you Believe.” Read more About the REAL PROBLEMS !!” because presenting ur point like that just makes u seem like a facebook user and is harmful to a very important and real movement.Stop treating black people like children, they can have internal problems as a race that are cultural in nature without you making excuses for them. Every single day I see "news" and other white people tell me I need to address the privilege ever present in the white community, do you honestly not expect black people to be capable of the same self-reflection? Yes black communities are underfunded, yes they are underprivileged, the way to stop that is to come together in their community, stop getting fucking lied to by the media for 5 fucking seconds, and deal with the things that have actually been causing their problems. Like the direct correlation between all children being more likely to fall into crime without a father present, and the levels of fatherhood being the lowest in poor black areas. Let me clue you in on just how much more beneficial it is socially, and economically to strengthen the familial power of the impoverished rather than burn the city in which they live tojo. A lot. Even though the problem doesn't necessarily pertain to this, I see the trend of white people committing incredibly higher rates of suicide, not only at home but reflected in the data as well. Perhaps I am racist for believing that my and other people(s) should be focused on legitimate problems regarding life and death, instead of falsified privilege? Racial tensions being high should be a signal that we need to address problems that are difficult to discuss, and the media will stop at nothing from preventing you from having those conversations because they profit during chaos.
This my LastPost For Today I Promise
this is a fair post and I agree with everything you said up until the part where you forgot about policing and judicial reform. If you can click through the links I’ve posted in this thread and you care more about every 40 yr old white guy that has a mid life crisis and necks himself more than the kids who are locked up for the kind of shit you and I would get a probation sentence for, you’re racist. I’m not “treating black people like children” like actually what goes through your head, I’m trying to use my privilege to make change instead of hiding inside my apartment because I’m too scared of the flu to fight racial inequality. not every fucking white person operates only for validation and to virtue signal, some people have basic fucking empathetical abilities. So like when there are protests happening REGARDLESS OF IF the media’s there, I’m gonna go be a meat shield for someone who will actually get arrested over nothing, NOT because “I hate myself for being white” like you claimed over a steam message. go fuck yourself
