i found something in a shed that was filled with rat shit. what is a way i can clean a piece of glass so that it can 100% safely touch food? it was in a loosely sealed plastic container, but i dont want that disease from rat shit or piss (dont remember what its called)

andrew-a windows 10 license is free if you're a student (or know someone who is), otherwise you can use the operating system for free. The only difference between the free version and a license is that there is a watermark in the bottom right and some customization options are locked (can't change theme or wallpapers easily).

Thanks - I tried that and like I said, it just reverts back to a crusty resolution
do that but windowed, and set your desktop to 1440x1080 stretched beforehand

if you're just doing notes, essays, papers, and a little coding you can go much lower than 1000 canada bucks. in my experience with surfaces the biggest drawback is the keyboard, the detachable keyboard thing sucks. if you don't end up going with a touch screen there are loads of good used laptops (thinkpads or similar specs/build quality) that are far below your budget and are nothing to scoff at.
