another draft we followed up was using roman tile patterns fading up from the waist bottom, laurel around the neck opening, with a bright maroon background (note -- no sleeves because jersey template separates the front torso / sleeves). def influenced by the rome logo color and can be compared to the as roma soccer jerseys

I rarely ever make complaints but I just wanted to vent about the upcoming qualifiers.

I understand that the 6s admins are mirroring the HL qualifiers which is fine in theory but here is the thing. Default times are 9:30/10:30 weds and 10:30 thurs with the last day to play being saturday. That being said, sixes teams don’t even start scrims until 10 and even 10:30 in some scenarios. S12 qualifiers teams had all week and the sunday following to play their matches. Ample time.

The games are also going to be bo1, meaning that both cast crew and teams, should a game start on time, be potentially waiting 30-45 minutes in the event of a lopsided roll. This was not the case in any of the past qualifiers ran for Invite which were a bo2 each, and none of the games ever went absurdly past time. In a qualifier with more than 4 teams it would be understandable, but 3 bo1s shouldn’t be the only chance to make it into Invite. Highlander qualifiers it was warranted, but that’s factoring in halftimes (mp winlinit 2 koth and payload halves can be VERY long).

I still want to cast this qualifier because I feel obligated to but man. It is just saddening that we are deviating from what the past admins did in the past two qualifiers and not consulting the players either whether the change was warranted.

I won’t talk about the teams that were picked (they’re filing their own grievances) but I will say both the teams and us were expecting an announcement about whether qualifiers were going to 100% happen a little more in advance.
