#1 Roamer LFT (Shredder) in Recruitment (looking for team)

Class
Roamer

Leagues
ESEA-O (mid-open)
UGC Silver/Plat (because I'm poor)

Schedule
I'm free almost all afternoons, because I get back from work at 5:30 and am ready to play by 6:00. Weekends are no problem either.

Background
I'm Shredder. I help run NA 6v6 Newbie Mixes with Noona and co. You may know me from there. I stream occasionally (but not all the time). I'm in school, but nearly done! :)

Competitive Experience
I haven't played on any competitive teams in the past, mostly due to scheduling issues with school and homework. However, it's summer, so there should be no issue. Everyone has to start somewhere - I can begin this season!
Even so, I'm not completely new to competitive TF2, with about a year plus of miscellaneous mixes and pugs. I've been described as "highly competent - not mind-blowing, but quality." I'm happy to scrim/practice/tryout/whatever. Add me if you want to talk.

Willing to Backup
Yes

#67 War Of The Web -Place your votes in TF2 General Discussion

I'll stream and cast it if no one else will. Hit me up with the details (when/where/IP) and I'll be there. Mystery caster TBD??

#1 Casting ESEA-O Action Now! in TF2 General Discussion

I was a little surprised no one wanted to cast any ESEA-Open games today. Would people be interested in seeing casts of ESEA-O games (especially MOTWs?) If so, comment here with advice or tips or whatever, or message me on steam if you want to co-cast

#22 anyone here program? in Off Topic

Java and Python for me. I use Java when I want to do something robust, and Python for fun programs where I don't care how my code looks in the end. IMO Java is much nicer and catches my errors, but Python is much more intuitive.

#18 Newbie Mixes in Events

As a reminder, this event formally ends at 12:00 EST (9:00 PST), but we always end up continuing until later. Usually, mixes with coaches start to fade at around 10:00 PST and we transition to Newbie PUGs (basically the same, except without explicit coaches. The coaches themselves often stay and play, however). These go on late into the night, so if you can't play during the regular time slot, be sure to stop into the mumble or IRC channel, even if it's past 12:00/9:00. By late into the night, I mean Scoots and I were there until 5 AM one night. :3

#1 Best Frag Videos? in Off Topic

I'm looking for some of the coolest frag videos - you know, the ones that make you really want to play TF2 when you watch them. I've seen so many frag videos that it's hard to keep track of the ones that I like and don't like, so I was wondering...
What are your favorite frag videos/movies/clips?

Personally, I love

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jamuLPfQibU

(duh), the ETF2L HL Challenge (

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NWrZVybyiU4

), and this one (

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zZJRvsrLnhU

).

Maybe its the great music, or the great syncing, I don't know. But whenever I watch these videos I have to start up the game and play.

What about you?

#6 Newbie Mixes in Events

For those who don't want to deal with the IRC or just want the good old-fashioned Newbie Mix experience, I'll be in the mumble on Saturday night to coordinate. Maybe Noona will be there too! I may also be in the Mumble on friday night to answer questions about IRC.

Additionally, once summer starts, a lot of the sous-admins (myself, Mr. Perfect, Scoots) will be around more. Even if Noona can't make it to some friday mixes, maybe one of us will be able to!

Played him today in TF2Lobby. Not sure why he was there, but he seemed nice enough. Definitely going to be an interesting character to watch.

As a reminder, you can put the following into your autoexec.cfg file before starting TF2, which will make joining mixes easier. To join Mix #4, for example, just type 'mix4' (without quotes) in the console.

alias mix1 "connect mix1.tragicservers.com; password mix";
alias mix2 "connect mix2.tragicservers.com; password mix";
alias mix3 "connect mix3.tragicservers.com; password mix";
alias mix4 "connect mix4.tragicservers.com; password mix";
alias mix5 "connect mix5.tragicservers.com; password mix";
alias mix6 "connect mix6.tragicservers.com; password mix";
alias mix7 "connect mix7.tragicservers.com; password mix";
alias mix8 "connect mix8.tragicservers.com; password mix";

#1 Your Proudest Moments in Off Topic

Hey everyone,

Noona's recent thread (http://teamfortress.tv/forum/thread/7964-your-biggest-regrets) was making me feel pretty down, so I decided to make this thread in response. As always, I apologize if this has already been done before.

What is your proudest moment? It can either be TF2-related or not. When have you felt that you really achieved something wonderful in your life?

For me, I am always proud when I make a visible improvement in what I've been working on. For TF2, that involves completing difficult jump maps and surf maps – and then applying it in games. Especially satisfying is flying through the air, when I'm the last one up, and dropping the enemy medic with two gorgeous rockets (doesn't happen much, but when it does, it feels good). Outside of video games, I'd have to say I'm proudest when I make improvements in school. A really good test or essay can make me feel really good about myself.
