enigmathe only hypocrisy here is that any one one of us has put far more time and money into this community than you have
red herring. you do not have to be involved in a community (example: religion) to point out the hypocrisy/contradictions of it.
enigmawhat i've been fighting for is the state of the competitive TF2 scene that i've spent thousands of hours promoting that'll almost certainly sink into mediocrity if ESEA-TF2 dies (so sorry if my posts have been a bit vitriolic)
Before CEVO's reformation, everyone throughout the forums, as well as people I talk to outside of TFTV, were claiming TF2 is a dead game. Once CEVO stepped in and created an alternative to ESEA (which everyone hated on and ranted on threads about), TF2 started to gain hope. It moved a vast majority of players (old/new) over to CEVO, which then caused a problem for ESEA's pinnacle bunch. The movement from ESEA to CEVO might be a mediocre one, but you have to start somewhere.
PlatinumSelfish to put up my own money to keep esea alive? Maybe, if that's how you look at it. But if that's the way you think, give me any example of a "selfless" deed? Any volunteering, charity, etc is done for selfish reasons, ie you FEEL good.
There's a difference between doing something for moral reasons which result in your own happiness (i.e. You see others happy which causes you to be happy), VS, Having an agenda behind your "good" works, such as offering the once so-called "shitty" players money to keep "YOUR" league alive, mainly for your own benefit.
PlatinumAnd to your point about us not contributing, harb and I have casted at least one or two im-main playoff matches for the past 3 seasons, with multiple invite games as well. I dont know about you but I have a 730-6 job and I'm out of town on weekends, so to give up part of the 2 hours a night I have free to acrim/play with my team to cast is a pretty large percentage of my free time. Anyway,go sign up for open, Ya might learn something.
Again, I thought I cleared this up already. The 'casting' rant went off into another direction and strayed away from the main point and principle of your hypocrisy. I should have used a different example since you, along with (below) defy cannot grasp the concept of, 'using people is wrong'.
defymy question is, if you want coverage so bad then why don't you just shut the fuck up and stream some matches. is your computer or internet shit? ok then get some of your friends to stream and you can join them, whats your excuse? why bitch to other people if you aren't gonna do it yourself
Again, did you not read what I wrote above? You actually quoted it and STILL misrepresented the crux of my position. Either you are illiterate or love initiating fallacies.
defyi did chill cast/streams of various open/im matches before, no one requested it i just fired up the stream and jumped in the stv. did some solo, other times had some bro's jump in too. it's not a difficult task, but if you want coverage from tf.tv you need to get 2 casters that aren't busy and someone to do the camera work...when that happens just fucking do it yourself you whiny bitch
Sounds like TF2 is the least of your problems, mental case. Again, for the fourth time now, I never stated there is not enough footage. I pinpointed multiple instances where higher level players, such as Plat and Harb, were dismissing lower level players as essentially worthless (sometimes not even worth responding to). But now, since they actually NEED these lower level players to continue the ESEA season, they will do everything in their power to get on their (the lower level players) good side.
Do you still not understand, or should I diagram it for you? Usually angry people, such as yourself, learn better with pictures.
