Brockbut pajaro who will you tell to kill themselves if I'm not around, what a boring forum this would be. Your life would just fall apart, the drive, all of it, gone.

A sacrifice I'd be willing to make

#34 eSports scene in Esports

I think Apex is the closest any FPS game came to replicating the potential that CSGO had. It was the only game that not only had the movement, feel-good gunplay, and money pumped into it, but it also was super enjoyable to watch from player POVs. Overwatch struggled immensely with the visual clutter and how time-to-kill was extremely long for pretty much every character because of the presence of healers and tanks. Apex unfortunately never was going to rival CSGO because it's a battle royale game, so competitions naturally were not team vs team, but team vs team vs team vs team vs team vs team and so on. Still a very enjoyable game with high skill ceiling.

VALORANT is now the only FPS that rivals CSGO because... it's a copycat. Very similar guns and formatting. Former CS pros were instantly dominant when the game was first released, and still have a leg up on naturally adopting the game. Only real difference is the introduction of class-based abilities. Tanks the watchability of the game, but zoomers like the bright colors. Oh, and tons of money was pumped into it by Riot.

The only eSport that still not only rivals but probably surpasses CS is League of Legends. It's a team based game that is fairly easy to watch IF you are familiar with the game (and if not, then yeah its pretty hard). It gets a massive amount of money and time spent by Riot, the game is balanced, lots of individual skill can change the game, etc. But its not an FPS and it's most popular in Asia, so we don't really talk about it on tftv that much.

MongpajaroMong Israel clearly separates its civilian population from its military population, unlike Hamas, so the innocents killed are not collateral. https://i.imgur.com/DVLCdhf.pngWait... so they have MILITARY BUILDINGS? That's crazy that they don't hide in civilian buildings like Hamas. Damn my opinion of the IDF really increased.

how is a military building in a residential area "separates its civilian population from its military population"? is there a forcefield around this building that civilians cannot walk within 100ft of?

atidere I have a B.S. degree in Business Analytics (Data Science), and it is just my opinion that polls, surveys, market research etc, have tendencies to miss a particular audience/voice at times, and to eliminate this gap/void you need to match empirical evidence with anecdotal evidence that is verifiable

you have a business analytics degree and in the same breath you're rejecting widely accepted statistical sample sizes in favor of anecdotes

MongpajaroI don't agree with illegal settlements or settler violence, but I still wouldn't call it terrorism per say, at least from what I read in the 2023 links (I don't care about 30 year old attacks). It's normal violence. If there was settler terrorism, I would also disavow that.

I just gave you source that include an Israel/Palestine relations expert, the European Union diplomatic service, the Swedish government, the International Court of Justice, the French government, and the most prominent Middle Eastern news outlet all definitively calling it settler terrorism u numbskull

MongWhat makes Oct 7th special (besides the magnitude, the recency and the fact that Palestine and Israel are technically not engaged in a full blown war) is that innocents were killed and raped without reason. They weren't collateral. It was not just fighting back. I wouldn't find much wrong with Hamas attacking Israeli military. It's war after all. When Israel bombs Gaza now, they have a supplementary justification to do it (besides the long history and attack-reaction repeat they have going on for decades) because their civilians were attacked mercilessly - and the whole reasonable world agrees.
I also think violence is definitely not helping Palestinians and a peaceful solution would be much more effective.

Oct 7th isn't special beyond the magnitude and recency. Israel has been killing innocent Palestinian kids for decades too in "retaliation" to Hamas.

MongWhen Israel bombs Gaza now, they have a supplementary justification to do it (besides the long history and attack-reaction repeat they have going on for decades) because their civilians were attacked mercilessly

Bombing civilian populations is a war crime. War crimes are never justifiable.

Mongand the whole reasonable world agrees.

MongI also think violence is definitely not helping Palestinians and a peaceful solution would be much more effective.

Reminder Netanyahu shut down peace talks and every "offer" Israel has given to Palestine for a "two state solution" has involved Palestine ceding not only land in the West Bank that Israeli settlers are illegally settling on, but additional land that Israel wants from the West Bank, as well as provisions that still would let Israel occupy Palestine if they deem there to be a vague "security risk". Israel has not offered a peaceful solution that isn't inherently violent, while Palestine has.

Settlers are not terrorists, no. I don't particularly agree with settlers being in the West Bank either. Doesn't mean Hamas is justified or that innocent settlers should be killed.
