Dick move for sure, would've been easier for him to keep his mouth shut on the whole thing.

He seemed fairly genuine in the video, so as long as he learns from his mistakes and betters his judgment and actions in the future, I see no reason for people to not forgive him in time.

does anybody know how to edit a hud so that instead of the ammo for the spies revolver disappearing when he switches to a different weapon, it stays on screen? Cuz the Revolver is the only thing for the Spy that needs ammo, so it wouldn't need to switch between different ammo values. So all I want is so that my revolver ammo stays on screen if I have my knife, sapper or disguise kit out.

Is this possible?

Nope, it automatically hides when the revolver isn't active.

#5585 It’s an element the game calls in called “dashboarddimmer”. It’s not included into any file currently, and from my extensive testing and messing around, actually appears to be controlled by the engine itself, using sourcescheme.res to draw its border.

So at the moment, it’s impossible to hide it properly until someone finds out the animation that calls the “dashboarddimmer” element in and makes it so it doesn’t.

#25 [HUD] Flarepunch in Customization
HonsterFirst impressions. The hud looks really clean, the timer, kill counter, meters, objective indicators. A top left chat and 12v12 scoreboard in an optional folder you could overwrite the default with would be nice. Vaccinator meter having a gap/line/notch or something to divide it into 4 parts(like the jetpack) would be nice since it doesnt have the percent number like other mediguns. Not sure what the diamond button next to loadout presets does, I think I've seen buttons there on other huds too I've just never used them.

Personal gripes: I'm not a huge fan of the team color turning completely black when hovering over it to select a team because it makes me focus on the opposite team color. The console covering the disconnect and loadout buttons by default since those are two of the buttons I use most often.

Names are hard to see when changing weapons/items.

I know with the way valve handles meters these may not be able to be changed, but I figured I'd mention the unexpected behavior with weapon charge meters.
- Scout secondary meter is below the melee meter.
- Thermal Thruster has a 1 in the ammo area for some reason
- Loose Cannon meter is below the sticky/shield meters.
- Huntsman meter is below the Jarate meter.

Any specific reason you decided to name the hud flarepunch by the way?
  • Might add more scoreboards in the future but it's not a priority.
  • Changed the Vaccinator Charge Bar, will be in next update.
  • The Diamond button next to the presets is the item loadout, and the Film Strip button is the taunt loadout.
  • Team Color hover on the Team Menu has been reworked, will be in next update.
  • I know the feeling, but I like the main menu and I'm too stubborn to change it now.
  • Names are hard to see, unfortunately not a lot I can do about it because Valve.
  • Charge meters are as best as I could get them in the way I wrote the files. It's not for everyone but you get used to it. The Loose Cannon goes above the sticky meter because you never have both weapons out at the same time.
  • The 1 in the ammo section is part of the Thermal Thruster weapon. It's on the default HUD. Can't do anything about it.
  • I liked the phrase.

Just pushed one last update to mine before submissions close, and I updated the screenshots so judges don't have to install the HUD if they don't want too.

It's late for me so I'm heading to bed, so if the decision is made while I'm asleep, good luck to all. It's been fun to participate and see what others can do.
