saamValve didn't grow to be the massively successful company it is by throwing money at projects for no reason

because sponsoring competitive tournaments would make no sense for growing a game that's just released a competitive matchmaking mode...

Phoenix21nopewow no one realises how good dave, madness and yui are; well you'll soon find outit doesn't matter how good someone is when your team doesn't preform well, the goal is to get as much points as you can, which means capping points winning rounds and maps are also important, so people try and avoid picking people from teams they know will not do well.

wruI don't really know where to ask this (why don't we have a discussion thread for i58 btw?) but is there a way to get a playlist of music playing between the games? the music is just astonishing this time around

http://www.teamfortress.tv/28508/tf-tv-music-playlist

this question was answered in that thread and i'm pretty sure it's basically the same playlist this year

#8 i58 - The Last TF2 LAN in The Dumpster

this is a serious question guys stop being shitters and wait for someone who knows what they're talking about to come answer it

in the i58 intro sideshow said this was the 'last one' or something to that effect, plus "one more time" has been in all the promotional pictures (eg https://twitter.com/teamfortresstv/status/768896446485508097)

AleXHey and thanks for your answer, i've seen that graphics card before but i heard that it was way better to go for one with 2 fans, if my info is incorrect please tell me so

Sounds like a bit of an urban legend. There are pros and cons to both open air (2 fan) and blower-style (like the one we're talking about) graphics cards, but both will work fine most of the time.

I found an interesting article testing the difference between the two styles here, these are some of its conclusions:

In short, always choose the product that suits your computing environment. Have a big case with plenty of cooling, especially a setup with liquid CPU cooling? You'll almost always be better off with an open-air cooler. Noise levels will definitely be lower overall. Have a small case or one with minimal airflow? Well, first of all, high-end open-air models might not fit as we discovered, due to their additional height and/or length. Furthermore, a blower-style cooler will be much more predictable, performing within its design parameters as long as it has access to outside air. Such models are particularly effective in ITX cases that position the video card's air intake at the edge of the case. Even if an open-air cooler could cool the GPU as effectively in such setups, the rest of the components in the case would suffer for it, due to the limited airflow inherent to any compact case.

Additionally, the alternatives you gave, the GTX 970 and the RX 480, are both significantly lesser cards, on the order of approximately 20 and 35 percent worse performing respectively. Just comparing those three cards, the 1060 should give you the best performance for the price.
