YeeHawHow is it going to be tested? We tried to scrim it but eventually people stopped wanting to play us because ‘it’s not being used in the season’. This was as good a time as ever to introduce it (no lan because of corona). I guess people are going to play more mixes with it (when they aren’t scrimming most nights) but eventually with 12 random players playing you hit a wall in terms of useful play testing.
that's why it's incumbent upon leagues to create a no-med speed cup, either during the season or REALLY early next offseason
MenachemThe game hasnt changed THAT much since before the speed buff. Its a known quantity for most players here and should be reverted. Or at least voted on or smth
keep in mind you're talking to one of the biggest boomers in this game right now. I personally agree that the game hasn't changed that much in the past 4 years or so, but the only viable devil's advocate argument against an immediate revert is still "we don't know EXACTLY how it will function in 2020, maybe meds will die too much to the more skilled soldiers, etc."
testing the mode extensively removes that complaint, leaving only the selfish scout and med zoomers and the delusional "tf2 needs to be esports" people, and they're hopeless, so it's the best way to build consensus
