ILLEGALELEPHANTGUNby far, the most frightening thing that happened, and i guess we can classify this one as a nightmare or night terror, i dreamt that i was in my bed, exactly as i had been sleeping. and i was dreaming my entire room, down to every last detail. i may as well have been awake, thats how "clear" the image was, aside from the fact that everything was very dark (imagine lowering the brightness of a video). anyway, in my dream i was in bed laying down, looking at my window. i was getting a very bad vibe from my window, and there was a lot of visual distortion/haze, almost like tv static/grain. through the entirety of this "dream" i was hearing the most nightmarish sound imaginable, i cannot remember how it sounded, or even begin to describe it. just imagine some eerie, ominous, low droning, nightmare noise. a noise alone that was enough to make me want to shit myself. then the window became this "black hole"- the darkness and "grain" aspects were spiraling in, like a void. a very dark demon hand or claw came from the center, toward me, and when it grabbed me, the nightmarish noise sort of did a "crescendo" in sync and REALLY scared the fucking life from me. i was jolted awake at that moment and sat in bed feeling all kinds of disturbed.
this reminds me of one of the 2 night terrors ive ever had where it started out the same as yours with me in bed but as i turned my head to my window, an outline of a really tall man was leaning against the wall looking out the window and he turned to me as if he realized i had just "woken up" and casually started walking towards me and i woke up screaming. i dont even know if it was a dream it might have actually just been my dad looking outside my window at something on the street and i was just all fazed out from sleeping but yeah it was scary.
night terror 2 i was at home alone but i knew that there was someone outside who, when i wasnt looking, was trying to sneak into my house somehow and kill me or something, so i was frantically running around the house checking all the windows to make sure he wasnt sneaking in, and when i was in the tv room which is basically all windows, i was scanning the back fence and suddenly it like zoomed in on a face between the cracks in the fence and it was the most deranged face ever it was nuts and i woke up screaming again. sounds kinda silly but knowing some psycho was definitely out there waiting to break into my house freaked me out.
also just remembered a dream i had a couple weeks ago that i woke up and immediately thought "this would be a good black mirror episode". it started with me and my family getting in trouble with some huge company that was basically a front for really unethical and risky medical practices, and eventually they caught me and injected me (i remember blacking out in my dream it was nuts) and for the next while i was fading in and out and saw bright lights and that i was on a surgery table and stuff. eventually i woke up completely and got up but my body was completely different, and some guy in a suit came out and was like "how do you feel?" and what i tried to say was "what the hell happened where is my family?" but what i heard myself say was "i feel great, thanks" and so they put me on some front desk administration job and whenever someone would come in i would try yelling "help me what did they do wheres my family" and shit but always ended up saying "good morning how can i help you?" never saw my family again (or maybe i did and they just looked different and couldnt tell me). eventually i gave up trying and thought like "how many other people out there are yelling for help inside their heads but outside they're just like "hello"". it was like i was just placed inside the head of someone else and didnt have my own body, just had to experience everything they did. so yeah it was scary, good for a book or movie or black mirror or something.
