#15 Seeking scout DM/general advice in TF2 General Discussion

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SlCRfTmBSGs

On a serious note, practice. Practice by just playing. I don't mean to not focus on ways to improve your game while playing, but what I'm saying is to keep on playing. Play for an extra hour or so if you can spare it. Overtime, brutha.

I know you're seeking help on improving your DM, but a piece of advice I want to give you is to focus more on being a smart player. DM is only a fraction of this game. In terms of being an individual player, DM is still only a fraction of this game. If you can out think your opponent, your ability to win the fight will sky rocket.

Now in terms of DM, you say you MGE and play in DM servers. That's good. Even though it can be highly frustrating (MGE more so than DM IMO), it helps and it will only stop helping when you make it.

Movement is part of DM. Some people may disagree, but that's how I see it. Work on your movement just as much as you work on your DM. This isn't me saying to not do the simple things like spamming A and D as that can be effective from time to time. What I'm saying is learn to utilize your environment with the props around you and your movement.

Oh, and pug. Pugging is the closest you'll get to an actual game if you're not scrimming/in a match.

Finally, have fun playing. Don't try to get frustrated. Brush it off instead of being frustrated. It's not worth getting stressed out over silly stuff. Play to have fun. Well, unless you're like me and have fun when you're doing well more often than purely having fun regardless.

Derpusdont spam AD

I often have trouble figuring out if you're trying to troll people with every thing you post. Spamming A and D constantly is bad, yes, doing it every now and again at random times isn't.

IcyWindstuff about strafe aiming

Strafe aiming is a good way to point and click, but so is tracking and flicking. Learn how to utilize all three. And yes, strafe aiming is basically tracking, I know. What I'm saying, however, is that strafe aiming is basically mirroring the other player's movement and tracking (or flicking too), as opposed to having sporadic, thought out or not thought out movement and tracking/flicking. I consider it the in between way of aiming.

#1 Thermal Paste in Hardware

Not sure if this is the best place for this thread. If it needs to be moved then go ahead.

I'm looking for thermal paste suggestions. I've considered Tuniq TX-4 and OCZ freeze, but I'd rather get some suggestions first.

#63 Random FPS drops recently in TF2 General Discussion

Bumping this because I've come to the conclusion that this FPS drop isn't only in TF2, it's in every game.

I've ruled out it being a virus of some sort and as you read, I've ruled out it being a TF2 problem. I'm guessing the problem lies somewhere in either the GPU or CPU in some way. There's nothing giving me any hints as to what it could be with either of those two, though.

I'm not overheating, so that's not it. I may need to do some deep cleaning and get some canned air asap. Thermal paste too, possibly. The part about this entire problem that bothers me the most is not being able to figure out what the problem is exactly.

Fogmhonestly im blown away that a guy who constantly ragequits at least 3 pugs a day is a hypercompetitive egomaniac get me proof of that and I'll make sure he can't pug again

he has rq'd a couple pugs i've played in, however that's not the proof you're looking for. but there's another voice backing it for you anyway.

nerkulI think numlocked showed he's the demo. b4nny is certainly up there though.

gl hrg

compare numlocked doing possibly better during one lan event to seemingly endless seasons of b4nny being the best.

flipperskirbyhave you guys seen shift by grid?
lol cube basically made a semi-fragshow which had been done 800 times already and grid had an original frag movie and cube won.

however both frag movies were great and i enjoyed them both alot

I just feel that grid should have won since he had something that wasnt done before.

i didn't post that @_@
