empty_setWhen/Why did tf2mix die? It must've died when I was taking a break from tf2.
Used to have good pugs every once in a while. All the pugs I played on it/ watched streamers play on it were terrible over the span of the month before its death.
A bunch of folks in our hotel suite at gxl watching the cevo finals cast just talking about tf2 in person was up there.
Also hanging out and taking to the new players new newbie mixes can be really rewarding. First airshots, first med drops, first wins, etc happen every Friday and I get to experience that over and over again.
Jintaban getawhale from casting plss
Ban the guy with sports broadcasting background and a job in live radio from trying to hone his talent for the benefit of the community.
I'm not saying I love everything he says on the forums (sry mike) but he's a cool dude that does a lot of last minute work when other casters have to bail. I never understood the anti-getawhale-jerk this community has.

tftv logo should change to this when in the dumpster subforum
AzzenothHOW long do i need to play tf2 before i can join tf2pickup
Long enough to feel comfortable with the mechanics of the game. That time will be different for different people.
PharaohIs there a date set for the finals yet?
Most likely March 14th.
I'd like to do it sooner, but there are a few games that still need to be played, so I'm hesitant to put it next weekend. And then there's FITES the weekend after that.
Also, PLAY YOUR MATCHES PLEASE. I'm messaging a lot of you, but there are a few teams I'll be dropping soon if you don't play your matches.
KanecoDid you read the link? They dont even have an ssl certificate. This is a huge deal for a league/company paying out sums in the range of hundreds of thousands of dollars.
Yes, I did read it. Why would I reply to something I didn't read?
All the problems deal with people being able to compromise your randomly generated, esea-specific password or your randomly generated, esea-specific auth code.
Bad practice? Yeah, sure.
Reason to "not use or pay for ESEA (at least until they address these security flaws)"? No.
ESEA passwords are randomly generated though. So it doesn't matter, does it? You just get a new one if the current one is compromised.
Any email you get containing a lost password shows a "disregard for your password security".
To actually answer your a bit more specifically than some other responses:
Make sure you understand the mechanics of the other 8 classes and 100+ unlocks in the game. This may mean playing a few rounds with some of the weapons that you have a hard time countering. The more you understand about the game, the better you will be at the game.
To improve your movement and "trickstabs", play in pubs really aggressively. Try and find a "higher-skilled" pub and do it there. Then after a bit of practicing, go try out a valve server and look at how much you've improved. Just a few hours of playing with an intent on improvement will show you a big difference.
To improve on chaining kills together, actively think "If I stab this guy, what will happen next?" Go through this thought for everyone in the group you want to kill, and figure out who has the best chance for you to live and get another stab. Eventually, you'll find yourself doing this automatically without much thought.
The big thing you didn't mention is your revolver aim. Practice it! Using it is much more reliable than trickstabs, and it will translate better from working on low level players to working on higher level players, including highlander people (if that option is something you're considering in the future).
All that said, it's pub spy. Just hop in a server and have fun.
12:39 PM - KevinIsPwn: tftv mumble overlay isn't actually a mumble overlay, right?
12:39 PM - dashner: right, it's a nodecg bundle developed by suyooo
sry
That's really weird. Do you have any cfgs installed?
(by cmd i mean the actual command prompt)
Is it an FPS lag or an internet lag?
Welcome to tftv!
Is this a problem on all servers or just the servers you lobby on?
Did you try verifying your game's cache?
Did you try reinstalling TF2?
I'm assuming you tried restarting your computer as well?
Does this happen in other games?
Can you try pinging the servers with this command in CMD to see if it's a net issue or a computer issue?
ping <SERVER IP> -t iirc, fragile is still sub-2k hours.
