omnificdashneromnificJust remember to not get too ahead of yourselves. Sorry to tell you guys but Valve has already said that they don't wanna work with 6's due to the inflexibility of the metagame. So if it's anything, it'll be highlander. Remember that in CS, everyone hates the autosniper, yet it still gets used in competitive because valve sponsors the tournaments. If history repeats itself, we might have baby face's blaster scouts and tide turner demomen. It won't be as good as pugs, and probably not as good as lobbies. What it provides is some exposure, which we desperately need. People like Muselk will make videos of competetive matchmaking, more people will put playcomp.tf in their names, etc.
Basically don't get TOO happy, but get psyched.
You don't know what you're talking about. Please wait until the fully charged episode on Friday where things like this will be addressed by the people who spoke to valve.
Well Valve in the past has said that they don't think 6's is the future of matchmaking, but that might have changed (to match the 6v6 that overwatch has). The rest is speculation, simply and purely. I'm excited for competitive matchmaking, as we all are. Probably shouldn't have made that post though, sorry guys.
Seems like a completely reasonable point to me. I wouldn't be surprised if (part of) the reason information is staying so scarce till FC is because there's still plenty of "buts" from Valve that need wrapping up in ribbon.
