ETF2L's website is built on a really customised wordpress backend. Upgrading it will take a long time. The beta was set up by our coders but since then we've had people come and go, thus our development team has been spread out and the release of the beta got delayed indefinitely

SmythernopeYeah I know, the point being OP is complaining about golden cap being too quick, coin-flippy and unfair, when actually the only problem that could exist with it is that golden cap has no round time so can take way too long.SmytherI still don't see what's wrong with golden cap. The only improvement I could think of is disabling respawns after 5 minutes or something, because it's only problem is it can go on for too long, not it being over too quickly.That's not an improvement, any variation on arena mode is trash
Actually we switched to a system that doesn't have a timelimit for GC rounds because evidence showed us (ETF2L) that rounds shorter than our (then current) system that did have a time limit.

it doesnt work
i see pages of people spamming the steamgroup about unanswered support tickets and admins being generally unreachable
people are unhappy with it because surprise winning RANDOMLY doesnt even result in u gaining anything
It means that the site is non-profit. If those sites should close say good bye to TFTV, ETF2L, Essentials etc...
The point is that you always get your items back, but earnings have to be looked at.
The proposed solution for that is the system that Geel talks about in the opening post.
