That was honestly one of the best finals this year

God dammit I have been away from my computer since yesterday evening and just checked
Wtf is going on RIP Pickems
I'm not upset these games are great but boy is it weird
jdmSearchlightI agree that SK looks like they're clearly ahead of the rest of the top 5 teams right now, but saying that only BIG and Gambit are doing well when they're the only teams with a 3-0 record is maybe setting too high of a standard. SK looked good throughout groups, as is Immortals, despite going 3-2.
That said, if you told me that one of the three German teams would make it out of groups, BIG would be my last pick by a mile.
Idk dude SK had pretty mediocre play aside from coldzera. Youre right immortals has been playing pretty well but I wouldn't consider it impressive considering their only good win was a best of one against a floundering NaVi
Basically dead tournament after quarter finals though, at least the games will be close until whoever gets destroyed by SK
But you never know, right?
Okay I'm impressed with immortals now
I really want Gambit to win but Australis is showing really good form
SK felt like they were playing kinda sloppy, almost how they did in groups but Australis stepped up nicely
If only FaZe were still in...
They need to start introducing seeding for these tournaments
Lmao there is actually a decent chance we'll see big in the finals
With faze and mousesports out I was going to root for gambit but fuck me I guess they are on SKs side of the bracket

This tournament is turning into a T1 snooze fest. Well maybe thats not the best way to say it, as the games leading up to the final will probably be close, but I dont see anybody challenging SK
Is it just me, or are a lot of teams in a pretty unimpressive place? To me, Gambit and BIG are the only teams going into playoffs and doing well. Everyone else in it just kind of scraped by against lower teams, and a lot of teams out of the playoffs never had a real chance, or just suck right now.
Faze is better now but apparently they shit the bed in cologne and were laying in it until this event
I have always liked faze as a team but holy cow this performance is inexcusable
Sure BIG and F3 had the play style to counter them but come on you can't be serious
In both this and cologne, only one player really even shows up to the server
And correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think one of the favorites to be finalists ever went 0-3
Faze often plays poorly in groups and big is a really good team with an approach that counters the individual plays faze is known for so I'm not surprised
Rooting for Faze and Mous
Id be pleased with mous making it out of groups, and I think Faze has potential to make it to the final but am not confident in them
I also want to see VP do well again
nykVP have nothing to prove, everyone knows they can still turn up and win the tournament. Teams will play safe vs them no matter what, they still have mad intimidation
welp
