#7 Zen in TF2 General Discussion

There was a Zen master who lived in Japan some hundreds of years ago. He was well respected for his wisdom and people often came to him for advice. In the same village lived a family with a teenage daughter who unexpectedly became pregnant. This was a time and culture where unplanned teen pregnancies were less than welcome, and the girl’s family was furious. They demanded to know who the father was. Being pressured by her family, the girl told them that the father was the Zen master. The girl’s family went to the Zen master’s house and told him their daughter had identified him as the father. The Zen master only replied, “Is that so?”. The rumor spread across the land and the Zen master’s reputation was ruined. People stopped coming to him for advice. In due time, the child was born and the girl’s family brought it to the Zen master’s house, saying: “You take care of this child, since it is yours”. The master again replied, “Is that so?”. They left the child with him and he took care of it as if it were his own. One day about a year later, the girl’s family came back. The girl had finally confessed that the real father was a teenage boy from the village, and they had come to take their baby back home with them. The Zen master again replied “Is that so?” and watched them leave with the child that had been his for a year.

Because of the wisdom contained in it, this story has survived in oral tradition for a long time. It doesn’t seem like any of the misfortunes befalling the Zen master has much of an effect on him. That doesn’t mean he didn’t enjoy his reputation or his time with the child as much as anyone else would have, only that he did not cause himself undue suffering by mentally agonizing over what he lost.

#16 Good inexpensive co-op games? in TF2 General Discussion

castle crashers - funny cartoony 1-4 player side scrolling brawler, almost like streets of rage.

magicka - 1-4 player rpg adventure game with a really cool, unique spell system. you can mix and match different elements to conjure a plethora of spell(and accidentally kill your friends), it's real dynamic. game is pretty funny too. note: game is known too be buggy at times but it's not a big deal. most of the dlc is a joke and the campaign dlc, the stars are left, was a buggy piece of shit when i played. but if you want to try it anyways only 1 person needs to have the dlc for the rest to play.

trine 2 - 1-3 player side scrolling puzzle game. each player controls 1 of 3 characters with their own set of skills and you have to work together to progress.

laura croft and the guardian of light - 1-2 player co op puzzle game/top down shooter. btw, dont change weapons with scroll wheel, it will bug out your game and you'll have to rehost.

saints row: the third - i'm not sure how many players can play together, but i've played this with one other person and it was great. pretty much over the top GTA.

alien swarm - this game is great, i think a lot of people blow it off just because it's free but it's easily one of my favorites games. its a 2-4 player survival game. this game gets difficult on max difficulty so you'll actually need to comm and work together, which is cool.

#17 Original our Regular in TF2 General Discussion

original is better. It shoots from the center, which means you can shoot around both left & right walls and rj from either side equally. with the regular you can shoot around walls from the right side but you have to fully expose yourself to shoot around the left side. you also don't have to compensate for the rockets coming out of the right side of the screen. in conclusion, the original is more versatile and is better in more situations therefore it is better.

that being said i will still use the regular because i'll always have it when steam servers go down, i've already familiarized myself with it and can't be bothered to relearn to aim/jump and i'd like to keep the projectile origin the same throughout all my classes, if valve made a client cvar that made all projectiles come out of the center i'd be all over that.

ps. any rj you can do with the regular, you can do with the original. prove me wrong.
