Yeah, that seems like the issue here. I'll look into a soundcard. Thanks.
I'd ask here but that's better suited for its own thread.

I don't have that tab.
Edit: Actually, I don't think I ever installed drivers for my audio. Pretty sure I've been using the default. It just says "High Definition Audio Device."
Since this thread is recent I'll just bump this one.
So I have an original Modmic. Recently I've been wanting to improve its quality. The main issue is that there's a lot of noise, I'm not sure if it's my computer, fan, or just white noise, but it's annoying for streaming. I have heard pretty much 100% clear recordings from the Modmic (not as good as an up-close Snowball, but who's going to be 5 inches from that?). I am using motherboard audio right now. I was mainly wondering if that would be an issue, and if I should get a sound card.
indust(looks like you got something to fix enigma)
Best solution would be to just format the YouTube BBCode as a link in quotes.
messiahJI was playing a pub earlier and an enemy sniper threw a jarate at me when I was on fire and it extinguished the fire, can this happen?
I thought that the fire effect went away, but still damaged you and critted.
Glad it does. :D
I think this happens sometimes when you're logged in on another browser/computer. It's annoying, but it's easy to fix.
Log out, log back in.
Technically, Canadians (and anyone else who lives on the American continents) are Americans. "American" in the English language just nearly always means a citizen of the US. In other languages, for example Spanish (which I am using in this example) there's actually both "americano," which can either mean someone in the Americas or the US, and "estadounidense," which roughly translates to "Unitedstatesian," and would probably be used more in South America. Even the latter term also applies to Mexico, as their official name in English is the United Mexican States.
It's just semantics though, and I don't think we're going to speak Spanish here or at i49 anytime soon.
Gonna hijack this thread...
When I first started streaming, I set my quality to 360p. I had someone check it, and they said it was too blurry. Upping the quality to 720p fixed that problem, so I stuck with 720 since then. However, my stream still looks horrible. It's probably because I stream at 800 kbps (I have 1.5 up but anything above 800 seems to kill my internet), but maybe it's also my resolution? Would it be a good idea to switch to 540p or 480p?
Also, it may have had something to do with the server I was using. I was using San Antonio, but next time I stream I'll be using Chicago since it's closer.
You seem to have pretty much dialup speeds. That's probably what's causing your ping problem.
HardcoreIt would probably have been better to tell Fog directly.
Fog didn't make the DM mod, but no one is working on the mod anymore so he would have to ban it.
I'm on Windows 7, and TF2 (and I guess Steam) decided not to communicate with the VAC servers. At first I thought P-REC was suddenly unsigned, as it was saying it was. After removing it, it was still saying that I couldn't browse for servers (Steam Beta must be running message). I restarted Steam, and now it's fine, and P-REC is fine.
Just wanted to put this here in case someone else had the same problem (rays did earlier).
P-REC IS NOT BROKEN.
"Fixed players sometimes being damaged by doors when they are closing."
omg thank you valve
bscQuick fix is in a lot of ways much better than kritz when used properly not sure why anyone thinks kritz is the one step solution to beating quickfix, quickfix dominates medigun just like it would kritzkreig
Kritz can easily dominate Quickfix. The faster heal rate does nothing to stop crit damage. Projectiles might have a harder time hitting quickfixed players, but I don't think that makes it OP.
