My work schedule doesn't currently allow me to play as much as they are wanting and link is the leader as well as Medic. So....naturally I don't play. How long ago was the 2 eng banned? Backup is now roster riding I guess.

Aside from the wrangler/vitasaw, there are very few that really break the game. Check the UGC ban list and add those. Most of them are all geared towards items that dont function when a Spy disguises them or lower FPS. Otherwise, most of these items wont be used anyways.

I wonder what's more brutal, 1 wrangled sentry in HL, or 2 engy's in 6's (non-wrangler). Such strategies in 6's (especially gravelpit) can open up teams to some pretty radical setups. Hard to prepare against that. med/demo/sold/2 eng/hw is a tough egg to crack on gpit.

I think a great deal of people have dropbox. They could just post the link and the reviewer can pick it up? If there is a way to message people privately it could make it where the demo wasnt public, etc.

That is true. It was an attempt to see what people really could or couldnt see. It had something to do with skins that are blocked with sv_pure 2. It was handled in such a way that the point was a bit pointless. It should have been done in a controlled environment. *shrug* I think the point was valid, but not the delivery.

I remember back in the day Adrenaline Gamer probably started the iron man pushing. They'd send wata and whoever they had scouting at the time back and forth with buffs. Now its more of a team push. So many different strategies after so many years. Its a shame EU isnt a big fan of it.

I dont think I've called this a circlejerk and I'm also not getting minus fragged (cept the one where I insulted sdogg which was childish, this one might though haha). I'm on an esea-im team and rather enjoy 6's. Both HL and 6's have their merit. This has kind of strayed from topic a little. sdogg has a lot of great points that are valid as does mustardoverlord. We've made a lot of changes over the last 4 seasons in the right direction to being competitive. I think wrangler is one huge barrier that might take some time to be breeched. Invite limit was lifted and the vitasaw was banned this season. Those are two things that would be nice to get some focus on us actually listening......but there will sadly always be unhappiness. I apologize its not moving as quickly as needed. But as stated quite a bit, this game setting is currently very heavily built on new players. Some of those new teams really need that extra defense to even hold a point. As marisa posted, it could work to let plat/silver do a vote (or each vote). I'm not opposed to that and its been discussed. We will just give it another season. Bear with us

I'd say I have a pretty good reputation and am fairly well known since I played back in the beta days with a good bit of the people that are still playing. You're generalizing. And maybe you are still new to those forums, but there's not a decision that goes by that its not argued over haha.

But again, we've made strides and hopefully they will be noticed this season.

SSH Tunnel with putty.exe, someone can setup a server for you to connect to as a proxy. Someone else posted this problem as well.

You could always try and have someone in the states setup an SSH tunnel for you. Then you'd just need putty.exe. But there is also a chance they could find out and just shut you out at that point. :(
