yeah, smart playes by froyo, but they could of been better. see ash is great, BUT his dm is nowhere close to other invite scouts (he doesnt even main scout :| ), and clockwork just took shits on nerdrage because of the dm. Imagine what it could of been like if they had shrugger or cyzer with clockwork and banny could watch rock and the cliffside..

would of been quick 3-0.

all i can see is it making the explosion more visible, ill pass on that.

Yo, I have been ignoring solving/doing these tf2 cfg stuffs cuz i am lazy, also bcz i didnt know how to do them.

if u wann asnwer, put the number of the question before ur answer so i know what its for pls.

1. I watch stabbys stream. He has really low and pixelated textures. He said this is from his low LOD (for nvidia video cards). I made mine 15 (lowest possible textures) a while ago, but his still looks worse... how to make it the same :s

2. does p-rec only work on servers that have recording enabled, or is it like fraps. Will it effect my fps or anything in anyway? (i usually just use the the recordings from serverme.tf, i dont bother with p-rec, what is the point?)

3. this gets rid of ambient map noise i didnt really understand. example of some map noises?? i dont want doors opening to go away, or other important stuff like that.

4. on reddit post, what are these 2?

5. Lastly, 2 problems on my cfg. I use a crosshair switcher (not for actualy crossahairs, but just to change veiwmodels for weapons) and it works fine for all slots on all classes, except melee for medic. veiwmodels are tunred on and off randomly for that slot, its wierd, everything else is fine.

Also for med, when i uber, it isnt saying the uber pop message even though it is there -_-

This also started happening when i did join a server without crashing near the end.
I joined this pub for instance, but it happened on a lot of servers, i join and i just freeze there, i get to choose my team, and class, but it doesnt even change pov to mine, it stays on the map spectator (but i can still access menu, tf2 isnt frozen just my movement.

I leave it for like 2 mins, frozen like a did, then it works, it is just really wierd, this never happens until recently.

I tried dxlevels 80, 81(my old one), and 90, so it cant be a problem with that..

I dont even touch anything, i just join a server and go get myself a drink, i come back to this. I was using chris's maxframes a year ago then i switched to comanglias toaster and potato (best fps) gfx. i used it all the time on dx 8.1, and it worked fine for a year. nothing was changed but those particle effects as i said, which in no way can entirly crash the game...i think

autoconfig wouldnt help me because i am running a custom cfg the RIGHT WAY. i don't have my cfg in the actual cfg file. i kept that the stock config, i put my custom cfg with the gfx in custom folder.

OK i just noticed something. When I start up TF2 it loads up shows everything for 1 secondm then the screen is black for like 3 secs and then goes back to the main menu. also it tells me these 2 things in console:

Rebinding key f to new command +inspect.
Changing resolutions from (1366, 768) -> (1366, 768)
Unable to remove c:\program files (x86)\steam\steamapps\common\team fortress 2\tf\textwindow_temp.html!

1st of all, why is it changing it if it is the same, where can I delete the second one, so it doesnt change it.
2nd that file that it says it can't remove doesn't even exist, there is no such file in that path..

To be honest with you, I don't know if it was saying this before, because I never messed with it, but now that I am having problems I noticed it.

I have a MAJOR problem with TF2. When I start TF2 up, and connect to any server through server browser, console, or just even connecting to it through my web browser (connect to a lobby on tf2center/pickup) it loads and everything is fine, up until the VERY LAST bar in sending client info... then hl2 crashes. IDK WHAT THE FUCK IS GOING ON BUT IM SO FED UP. When i restart my pc and open tf2 again it seems to fix it so idk why..

I have had no changes for a month, except making no smoke visible and rocket launcher explosion and some other weps (pretty much this thread but i don't see anyone having my problem there). Also they are working fine for me. I'v tried verifying my tf2 game chache, but it didn't seem to do much either..

But here is my new problem, involving the particle effects. I Installed 4 of them that I wanted, they are already in .ctx form. It looked like this tf>custom>shooting effects (this folder can be called anything)>scripts. the 4 .ctx files I wanted were there, as many people did on the original thread

Not only do i not get effects, but when I went on tr_rocketshooting and a bunch of other bot maps there was no ammo for specifically the weapons I put .ctx files for.

So I decided to test it in a pub..

Now, I only got ammo in clip for the weapon, no ammo in reserve, and when I shot, it was very glitchy.
I am %1000000000 sure it is not my hud or cfg.
WTF is happening..

Hello all. I play TF2 on a weak PC. I can play it at 80 stable fps, but I want more, that is why I got Comanglia's Toaster GFX, which should look like this: https://imgur.com/a/fNvV1

I have been using it for a little over 6 months, and like it (huge props to Comanglia's work btw), BUT it isn't as bad as it should be. I took a similar screenshot (this is mine: http://imgur.com/ppOYgLH)

There has to be a way to make it look worse, mine looks so much better...
