albaforum threads tend to dissappear, news posts is easier seen. Its always a pain to search up the announcements threads.
the problem is if 2 articles a month were posted then they'd clog up other, more unique articles, and people wouldn't click on them anyway. i think the announcement threads should be stickied though
HiipFireI mean hey, when most of the tf2 community only discovers that the cup is happening when they see the stream go live on the saturday/sunday, there's clearly an issue with promotion whether you like it or not
where else should they appear? the type of attention that would reach the most people (stickied reddit threads, tftv articles etc) is generally not really appropriate for something that happens twice a month since it dilutes the other content on there
albaHiipFireMenachemactually ridiculous to not sign up for this now. theres a prize pool, the top teams have their own bracket, and the time commitment is far less intense than before. get ur dang teams in and pester ur buds to do the same, this is a Big Deal! Most of the people I know weren't even aware that this cup was happening, this cup isn't promoted that well
I agree with this, I only knew about it because i read tftv daily. If you don't read it daily you will miss the cup announcements. I think if etf2l could make a news post aswell as tftv that would help out alot.
"i only heard about this event because i saw one of the advertisement posts. it really should be advertised better"
zxpWhere did they put seeds and why?
I heard he's got newfound talents as a cheerleader and has booked 4 seats directly behind the rest of the 7 team to give him the space to perform.
georgebaiiI apologise abhorrently for the amount of team name confusion i'm bound to have for this cast :<
its easy its just green bin vs black bin
how about a throwable consumable like the gas passer that when thrown it builds a big fort with bouncy tyres and shit at the bottom
banny say hi to me at lan i'll cook u enchiladas

Dragon Fury - Banned (Unchanged)
The weapon itself does have a larger range than the base flamethrower and its projectiles don't match their visual. The reduced airblast rate is a significant downside and its overall damage does match to the other flamethrowers (Although this might be because they seem bugged). But with the Pyro class already changing a lot as well, together with new Pyro weapons that haven't seen competitive play yet, we will keep this banned.
gas passer can be thrown through thin walls but is otherwise shit, it's something that's either inconsequential or stupidly broken
whitelist hasnt been revised since the mini balance update recently

normie wallpaper engine stuff, both are animated
if something like pyro/heavy became viable full time the whitelist or rules would change because no-one wants to play as/against that shit
in pugs/lobbies my opinion has generally been that it doesn't matter if running highlander classes is more effective against an uncoordinated team, it's not fun and nor is it good practice so it's fine to artificially restrict them
what the fuck does "balanced" even mean
like obviously it's underpowered compared to the generalists. some would argue that having no defensive classes at all improves the game, so it's overpowered to others?
plus there's SO much more to game design than balance, however you define it
bLait ain't got shit on Titin https://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/Appendix:List_of_protologisms/Long_words/Titin
what about the plural of it
i ended up removing my abomination of an extension of broesel's crosshair switcher and just having simple stuff like
bind 1 "slot1; r_drawviewmodel 0"in each class config, and haven't been kicked since. if you're like me and like the ability to toggle viewmodels that might work better for you than the competitive viewmodels tool
