#43 Medigun checker script in TF2 General Discussion
blinKI'm sorry that you're not good and need to resort to every little edge you can get to try to win. Can't stand people who try to exploit every little thing out of a video game. It's people like you that ruin good video games. You go away. Doesn't Greenland have its own forums?

Atmo seems like a genuinely good, intelligent guy and usually has good posts. I just really don't agree with anything like this. So if you're defending your European comrade I understand. But really if you're scratching your head all day on how to beat your opponents using exploitations of the game or what not, you're as bad as a cheater and might as well go pay to wall hack.

While we're on this subject I feel like shadows should be banned as well since they're almost as good as a wallhack. But hey thats just my opinion! Would make the game a lot more exciting and less stalematey. That's a whole 'nother can of worms though.

Are you broken?

Goat_frownyHow does it compare to the Galaxy Nexus? Size/spec wiseMy sister has a G Nexus, the screen is 0.3 inches bigger but the frome itself is almost as wide and tall and even thinner and lighter. People say it looks and feels more premium (opinions in press are mixed due to the mute design), also having a 1920x1080 display without full pixel sub matrix is great (g nex has 720p with amoled pentile submatrix).
Android 4.4 also takes advantage out of the resolution by having transparent buttons at the bottom and transparent status bar.
Camera is substantially better (8 megapixel with optical image stabilisation) and runs a lot more fluid.
Spec wise it now has 2 GB of ram instead of 1 GB and a quad core 2.3 GHz processor by Qualcomm (snapdragon 800) instead of the dualcore 1.5 GHz by Texas instruments, benchmark wise the snapdragon 800 destroys everything.

Fair enough, the firmware isn't a bother for me as I'm rooted with a custom ROM and I'm using Pie instead of the Navbar anyway but I'm glad they moved away from the Amoled pentile submatrix screens. That was my biggest let-down when I got my GNex. Ta for the info mate.

Rockkkkkkkmthsadi chose such a bad time to switch to winamp :(
Maybe not. Apparently, Microsoft is interested in buying it.

So it is a bad time to switch to Winamp then...

mthsadPlatypus+1 for mpd + ncmpcpp although foobar2000 does run very nicely in wine. I use an old ipod shuffle to play music since I have a dumbphone, still looking for a good android to buy.galaxy s is godly with cyanogenmod
also have heard good things about nexus phones

Can confirm. I've got a Galaxy Nexus running Vanir ROM. Cyanogen also works perfectly.

#74 ETF2L North American Division in TF2 General Discussion
brrtonwhats stopping us from keeping our ruleset and still playing in etf2l?
unless we are being ranked/playing against euros, I don't really see why you couldn't just have an NA config.

other then that the wildcard and double map thing is pretty different.
PermzillashowstopperI think North Americans should be allowed to vote for the ruleset they would want to use.

I would be in favor of the current NA rules, but with the current EU division setup.

The ETF2L website does not support the current NA rule system, which is why there is simply not a choice and the EU rules have to be used.

BerethnerkulI recommend etf2l. It's a great league, well run.I really don't want to have to deal etf2l's cheating frenchies.

#8 My Deathadder is failing! in Hardware

I'd go for a Zowie EC1/2. Same shape as the DA, but much better build quality and you don't have to deal with Synapse. It's also cheaper than the DA and the sensor is on par but it has a much lower lift-off distance.

If you didn't like the shape of the MX518, I wouldn't go for an AM or and FK however they have the same sensors as the ECs.
