reload01the issue seems to have been found and fixed. a client update should be out soon. I will post when it's released.
reload01client update is out (5.0.74) which fixes client crashes while playing TF2. sorry for the delay. :)

you're able to launch tf2 without the steam client being open?
close steam > click server in esea client > steam opens > tf2 opens
not sure if it makes a difference whether you open steam before or after clicking on the server, that's just how i did it
This workaround seemed to have worked for me, but I haven't tested this in a match yet. If anyone who has the same problem has a match tomorrow, please post results if you try the esea launching the steam client method! I'll post my results whenever my next match is.
EDIT: Like I said, my earlier resetting to default thing seemed to be a fix for PUG servers, but as soon as I tried joining an ESEA match server, it crashed the client.

blinKRemove all the shit from your TF2 that is custom except for your huds. I've never had an issue with the client and I think it's because i'm not trying to "mod" my TF2 in every single way imaginable. That and get a good registry cleaner.
Yes run ctap scripts, run spy medic scripts to find out the enemy uber %, run special in game crosshair changers, custom sound, custom textures, a program that will auto record a demo for you, change your models, perhaps even a program to play the game for you, then try to run the client and get mad at why your shit doesn't work.
Running default HUD caused this to happen too, lol.
I don't have any funny scripts running either.

I wish I could check my client logs, it says it needs to be enabled on my account by submitting a ticket, lol.
RuwinTry removing p-rec from your custom folder if you have it installed.
I've done that, it's not that kind of problem. It's like I can connect and then the client says it stopped working, which kicks me from the server (due to the client not running anymore).

I get an error saying that the client stopped working whenever I join a MATCH server, which immediately kicks me after a few seconds saying that I do not have the client running. I thought I fixed it by reverting all settings to default, since I joined the PUG servers and didn't get kicked after over 10 minutes of idling, and joined multiple times + relaunched the client. My teammate told me to try rejoin our match server, and it crashed again.
I already submitted a ticket, and I've been hearing this has been happening to a few others as well?
It happened to our pocket yesterday, and now it's happening to me today. I've heard of two other instances where people from other teams are experiencing this as well.
I'm running Windows 7 on a freshly built PC, and have the client installed to my secondary harddrive, since I didn't want it on my SSD. bsc managed to fix his by reformatting, but I'm not willing to do that just to play with a client that is supposed to work.
Figured I'd ask here who else is actually having a similar problem :S
I've tried: deleting clientregistry.blob/restarting steam/restarting my PC/reinstalling client and have ran out of ideas while waiting for the staff to respond.

i was so mad about the long run second score because i got a phone call and i died and then i was very rude on the phone call
i think stopping just (i only played it until i got one of my scores saved) is my least favorite course and time attack is my favorite
