Well yes and no.
In short..it helped me get through hard times in my life..but in contrast it also made other daily life pressures more challenging (my grades for example dropped pretty drastically).
As soon as I stopped playing, I found my mental wellbeing drastically improved, I’m not dissing the game, it’s more so the way I handled it, was damaging.

I don’t play tf2 anymore and I haven’t played comp tf2 in more than a year now.
However I’m still good friends irl with many people I used to play with so I’d definetely say that’s a positive in itself and probably the best thing the game gave me.
