Hey TFTV. It's that time again. Time for a netplay tournament!

This tournament starts Saturday, February 18th at 3PM EST.. Signups go right up until the start of the tournament.

This tournament is going to be free-entry.

We're going to be trying out a new signup system. To sign up, visit the bracket page and click "go to registration". You'll have to have a Challonge account to sign up, and you have the ability to change your name upon registration for the tournament. Please try to make your Challonge name as similar to your TFTV/Discord name as possible to avoid confusion.

There is also an hour-long check-in period on Challonge before the tournament starts. If you do not check in, you will be automatically DQd from the tournament and the bracket will automatically adjust.

Rules:

• NA only
  
• We use a slightly edited version of the Smashboards ruleset, which you can see here:
  http://smashboards.com/rulesets/melee/
  Since pause is automatically left on by the Netplay settings, we can't turn it off; accidentally pausing mid-game still forfeits your stock.
  Because we can't do RPS online, lower seed strikes first.
  
• Use Faster Melee 4.4
  
• Double elim
  
• BO3 throughout, BO5 winners/losers finals and grands (winner gets 1BO5 advantage in GFs)
  
• Forfeit rule: 10+ minutes late to your game is an automatic FFL (with exceptions due to extenuating circumstances, discuss with me beforehand)
  
• In a case of unplayable lag, or inability to connect, players can agree to play on a different Dolphin version. If the issues are not resolved, a TO will be called to determine if a forfeit is warranted. The lagging player also has the right to forfeit the match.

I may try to do a stream and cast myself since I have the ability to do so now; however it would be a bit awkward for me to do it myself (since i'm playing), so contact me if you're willing to stream or cast the tourney.
