Welcome to the inaugural TFTV Netplay Tournament. This is the first in a (hopeful) series of tourneys. Our first one is going to be free, but if we get enough interest we'll be running some buyin tourneys with pots.

This first one starts Saturday, October 3rd at 3pm EST. Entry is free. Sign ups lock on Friday, Oct 2nd at 12am EST or when 32 people have signed up.

Rules:
-Smashboards ruleset (http://smashboards.com/rulesets/melee/) except for one thing. Obviously because we can't do RPS online, lower seed strikes first.
-Use Dolphin 7840
-Double elim
-BO3 throughout, BO5 semi/finals (winner gets 1BO5 advantage in GFs)
-Forfeit rule: 10+ minutes late to your game is an automatic FFL
-Join the steam group (http://steamcommunity.com/groups/tfdottvsmash) to find your opponents!
-Winners report scores through steam group on match announcement

Seeding is in the process of being done.
The tournament schedule will be pretty loose; if you advance into the next round and you have an opponent to play you don't have to wait around. *I or another caster will contact you on Steam if we want the info to get your match casted (so don't go super super fast).

At this point, probably sacrifice a goat to valve.

It's material related so it MIGHT MIGHT MIGHT be related to FPS configs.

It's probably the material bug then.

I'll look through the GCFScape for any changes related to the FreezePanel files.

edit: nothing seems to have changed. regardless, try taking out your hud and then trying again and seeing if you still crash.

I have not crashed yet after playing a full pug. Although I am currently using an omphud with some elements that haven't been changed from default.

I think it may be more related to the material crash fix.

Crash MAY be related to hud stuff (specifically related to dropping items?). I'll be testing this shortly if/when changelogs come out.
