tf2 peaked s14/15 for a bunch of different reasons (F2P, no CSGO) but we've at least managed to hold on since then somehow. Its p clear the QF season didnt affect it at least

you can still use uber but if you don't time it perfectly you'll only get like half of one

i made basically the same point 4 pages ago. people here don't believe the game nor the QF have changed enough to completely shift its impact on the meta

Heavy works far differently than he did in 2013 (spin up). Pushing into a heavy is nowhere near as dangerous as it used to be
Scout as a whole is far stronger, so scout ubers are more popular. this means the QF's uber isn't very good on scouts since they can fairly reliably be one shot or focused down
Players on the whole are far more aggressive and individual classes are less important. Pushing off of a demo pick into an even uber is a lot less of a sure thing

afterburn damage doesn't matter outside of pubs

lightning gun is dumb because we don't need another hitscan class

make the flamethrower shoot particles twice as fast but have them last 75% as long as they do now so you get a bit more range and consistency behind flames

don't captain your first season of ESEA or 6s. You'll get upset and not know how to handle it and probably kill your team
don't captain if you're not good at communicating or working with people long term
don't captain if you still have problems as a player when it comes to tilting

leading a team brings out the absolute worst parts of yr online personality and you'll very quickly get a reputation as "that guy" if you're barely keeping yourself together while trying to coordinate 5 other people barely keeping it together

quick fix being relatively better would mean its less shitty at pushing through chokes, meaning it wouldn't stalemate as much

season 14 was also different af tho

scout was a lot weaker, demo was stronger, and the game was slower. Since then the QF has been nerfed multiple times and one of its biggest advantages has been removed. its probably still shit but that's a pretty bad reason to imply its still shit

machina nerf should be chipshots make it unscope (or reset the charge or smth)
you get better charged shots but you gotta work for them

people who are shorter or heavier are more likely to self select out of posting their weight for obvious reasons

for yr 3rd point

the needlegun should heal like 1hp but give you a bonus for hitting multiple needles in a row so you need good aim to heal moving ppl with it and the xbow should be the one with reverse range falloff

cause otherwise you'd still never use the needlegun cause the xbow still does insane damage
