Red_Did people not know that it was the old engine until it came out? If so that's pretty nuts. I don't understand why a smaller company just literally all-ins an rpg with a really good engine and really well constructed. Is cost an issue? From what it sounds like you guys think it's a really easy task to do some of these things
you'd really need to develop an inhouse engine to pull off what bethesda does in a better way. that requires WAY more capital than the sort of things modders do to improve the games. Bethesda also kind of has an ace in the hole in that their market exposure is amazing. For the same reason that your game would fail theirs would always succeed no matter what they do
