eee> I can’t afford $20,000 in development cost for a single product, when China will do it for $1,000.

so your solution is to create an economy where you won't be able to sell a product because it costs $20000 and as a result no one will be able to afford it?

I'm not sure if you are correctly understanding the difference between product development cost and production/manufacturing cost. To be clear, I'm talking about $1000 vs $20,000 development cost aka R&D for a product which sells for $60. Actual manufacturing cost is $15 or so.

I used that as an example for why paying someone in the US to do R&D is not viable. If I paid the $20,000 to someone in the US for R&D, I may never recoup that money through sales, so it would never would have made sense to put the product into production and on the market.

ScissorsEven if you dislike or disagree with Trump, surely you can see that this is a once-in-a-lifetime chance to rip out the entire corrupt and broken system by it's roots and start over? Trump is going to end career politicians and big money in politics, that alone makes him a better candidate than the Goldman Sachs puppet alternative in my mind.Tino_I don't get how people think that trump is single handily going to change the entire system….

Of course he is not going to be able to change the entire system with the limited power of the executive branch. But he can most certainly have a big impact as president. Exposing the illegal activities of many members of congress and getting them prosecuted is one way of “draining the swamp.” He can also put pressure on prosecutors to actually go after people and appoint investigators. It is possible that he could convince congress to impose reasonable term limits. He can’t do it by himself obviously.

mustardoverlord Donald Trump is one of those rich and powerful people. From a policy standpoint, he would make Goldman Sachs happier than even the most puppet-like version of a Hillary Clinton administration.

You’re kidding me right…. Goldman Sachs wants Clinton in because they know they can control her. They’ve already been bribing the puppet via paid speeches for years. Trump is on another level, isn’t accepting bribes from these companies and they know they can’t control him. Not even the establishment has full control over him, he does what he wants, and that scares them to death. He is an independent disguised as a republican.

SpaceCadetI'm not going to pretend that I know much about the global warming issues or details. However, pointing out that "pollution of our air, water, oceans and deforestation" as major problems seems to be the same thing since they all contribute to Global Warming anyways? or am I wrong?

There are certainly some parallels between the mainstream climate change views and pollution, but there are also differences. Dumping 10 tons of chemical fertilizer into a river isn’t going to have a damn impact on the temperature of the earth, but it sure as hell will have an impact on the toxicity of the water, and will kill off fish/plants etc. Global warming is the idea that because man is burning fossil fuels it is leading to an out of control increase in temperature that is only preventable by a massive scale back in fossil fuel consumption.

Collaide”Trump is anti globalisim” No

He is very anti globalisim. Unlike Hillary he wants a secure border, he wants controlled and regulated immigration. He wants trade deals that benefit the US and not other countries. He wants to impose import duties and exit taxes on companies that leave and send stuff back to the US.

Collaide He doesn't care about outsourced jobs, if he did, he wouldn't produce his own ties in china.

Bullshit. I care about outsourced jobs, yet probably 90% of the stuff I sell as a business is from Asia. And the vast majority of the stuff I sell isn’t even produced in the US. I’d much rather make/buy things here if it was financially viable. I’d even pay more, as long as I could still turn a decent profit. Trump is the same way. He’d prefer to do things here, but at the end of the day if it is significantly cheaper, then he will outsource. But he’s argued that its up to the politicians to make it difficult for him to do business like that, and also up to them to cut red tape and make the US more manufacturing friendly.

Some of the products I design and have manufactured it just isn’t financially possible for me to do it any other way other than through China. I can’t afford $20,000 in development cost for a single product, when China will do it for $1,000.

@ #859, I appreciate your attempt to try to continue to debate me after I believe I said I wasn't interested in reviewing your last lengthy post. This one is also TLDR, and honestly I didn't even read 1 full sentence of it. You are not going to convince me of anything. And I don't want to waste any time reading your propaganda filled post. There are plenty of websites out there dedicated to opposing mainstream climate change/global warming propaganda. My opinion: The climate has always changed, will continue to change, regardless of human activity. Human's are responsible for such a small part of "global warming" that its not even a significant factor, and there are far bigger concerns than global warming to worry about such as the pollution of our air, water, oceans and deforestation. It's hyped up for money and political gain. And I'll leave it at that. Please, spend some spare time viewing sources that oppose mainstream views, then make up your own mind.

@ #863: 10-15 years ago it was basically only referred to as "Global warming" and as of the last 5-10 years or so, almost all you hear is the term "Climate Change." Because they are believing that the globe isn't strictly in an upward temperature trend, but there is more to it than that. Maybe it had something to do with 2008 not following their trend prediction and being the coldest in a couple decades? I'm not sure, but the regularly used term definitely has changed from Global warming to climate change.

Daggerpeople that claim nasa's photos are fake don't know shit about photography or how cameras work

You got me. I own several DSLR's and part of my job requires me to take pictures for a living. I don't know how cameras work though... lol. I'm aware that some of the pictures do require some level of editing, because they stitch photo's together from multiple sources. But I mean come on adding random duplicate cloud formations? Why. And then there is the pretty clear "SEX" cloud in one of their photos.

Greatly different size of north America? https://www.pachamama.org/wp-content/uploads/2012/01/EarthComparison_550.png Why?

CleepopleAren't you cherry picking by ignoring the countless sources people have linked and instead only using the ones that support your view???

LOL. Why are you still arguing with me over this issue. I already said, its impossible to change my mind over this. A couple years ago, I went on a documentary binge on global warming/climate change video's. I watched plenty of mainstream ones (Netflix and science shows/channels) and then some alternative ones on youtube. Then I did also my own research. I don't need to prove anything to you, and you won't convince me of anything with your mainstream sources. What they are doing is largely not even actual Science, its bogus to fit their viewpoint and agenda. They come up with their hypothesis that man is burning fossil fuel's which in turn is causing the climate to heat up, then they go search and cherry pick data that supports that. They'll take measurements from one hemisphere and not the other. They'll take selective data points and throw out the other contradictory data. It's actually pathetic. Do some actual research, watch the video's I linked. It just isn't some "conspiracy theory" if there is actual proof. The guy takes the IPCC charts/graphs/data and debunks them. Hell even the whole fact that they largely changed the term from Global Warming to Climate Change should kind of give you a hint. They realized that they were inaccurate by saying man was responsible for an increase in co2 which directly increases temperature. If that were the case we wouldn't see some years that were colder than others, we wouldn't be seeing a large expansion of polar ice shelves. Hell even NASA says there has recently been a large increase in antartic ice: http://www.nasa.gov/feature/goddard/nasa-study-mass-gains-of-antarctic-ice-sheet-greater-than-losses

But NASA is pretty shady on a lot of things. They can't even provide us with an unaltered picture of the earth for example. They use artists to doctor things up, introduce more clouds and make it look all pretty.

ErenJaydollarlayeryttriumwhy would you intentionally buy a card that was 2.5 years old when you knew the new series was already out and a replacement would come soon
I intentionally bought a GTX 970 right before the 1080's came out so I could sell my GTX 980 before they dropped in price like a rock. Bought it so I could use it as I waited for the 1080's. Then I used AMEX return protection to return the GTX 970 after 90 days. Worked a charm. :)

Quite a few credit cards these days offer return protection, if you bought the card on a CC.
if you trusted the return protection why didn't you buy a 980?

$300 limit.

BBiA_duchessYou do realize that all the corporations that are making literally trillions of dollars off of nonrenewable energy sources have everything to gain if they convince people that global warming doesn't exist? That's what you should be afraid of. The government, elite, and "shadow governments" (lol), want people like you to think global warming is a hoax, so you spread your idiocy around, and no one does anything about climate change.

LOL. You are not very in tune with reality are you? Big oil stays pretty quiet when it comes to their views on "climate change" and "global warming" but they certainly spend millions on lobbyists to suppress laws that would have a negative impact on their sales. http://www.climatechangenews.com/2016/04/07/big-oil-spent-115m-obstructing-climate-laws-in-2015-ngo-says/

Don't believe in shadow governments? Even the FBI recently admits that recently there has been a powerful group they refer to as "The Shadow government" protecting Hillary Clinton during the original email investigation. Here I even picked a liberal news source as my source: http://www.cnbc.com/2016/10/17/fbi-releases-100-new-pages-on-clinton-email-probe.html

BBiA_duchessdollarlayer logic: Fuck your facts, here's another youtube video from an english guy who agrees with me

I'm sorry if my sources trigger you, I'm just pointing out I'm not making up random shit. Although it is not a mainstream view, in the alternative media community this kind of thing is pretty mainstream.

But yea there is quite a bit of proof that a lot of the data that supports global warming is cherry picked, fake, or taken out of context, which is why I'm always very skeptical. After all there are people making million's selling carbon shares. The whole climate change scare gives governments the ability to take more rights away and introduce more taxes and regulations giving them more control. But we all know that the government, elite, and shadow governments all have our best interest in mind right? Nothing to fear.

Here is another source, hope it doesn't trigger you but it proves the FBI knows that global warming is made up:
