I really hope Australia wins.

pernixreillyhttp://play.esea.net/teams/65765mghughlauriesome idiot on a css team is mad his 8-8 team with 7 forfeit wins won't make playoffs cause it's not 16 teams.
also their 1 win was from a 5v4 that went into overtime rofl
I mean that's hilarious, but if this is true you also have to realize they probably deserve to play more games, seeing as they are paying to play but got ripped off of nearly half their games.
Lmao the match comms on the match they actually won

Can someone actually answer for me why it's doing this. I'm actually confused why it wants to sleep up there 24/7. I've seen cats sleep on weird things but never on something it will continually fall off of.
What do you currently have?
Edit:
Ultrazcurrent processor: i5 3570k
current video card: GTX 650ti 2GB
RIP any intelligence I had left.
But yeah, if that's what you currently have, there is 0 reason you should be getting bad FPS in tf2. Your problems may be elsewhere.
ProwerThere is a difference between plain bad picks and picking carries who don't play with the team and act like complete idiots forcing their team to get rolled. There is no point in picking a carry if they are going to throw the game which a lot of them do, yet people continue to encourage this behavior and then complain that people make bad picks.
It seems a lot of people interpreted my post as doing friend picks. That's not the case.
If they are throwing the game I don't know why they would be considered a carry.
However, what you are pointing out now, still isn't the case that I'm talking about where people just ignore top picks over and over.
But you're not bill.
Prowermorning_foxThe big problems with tf2mix is the captains have no idea who their picking so either team almost always roll 5-0. Or the people scramble till they play with their friends then go and play tf2lobby.
What if I don't enjoy playing with carries all the time? I wanna pick people I enjoy playing with who are good, but if a carry is just annoying, I don't want to pick them, and people shouldn't feel obligated to.
I think it would be nice to just split tf2mix into two IRCs. One with the captains and the other with the normal gametype. That would also give freedom to update the bot similar to pug.na. I know people could just go to pug.na but suffer frequent fatkidding.
The point of captaining is to commit to creating the most balanced teams you can. I don't mean this rudely, but if that's not what you're trying to do when captaining, you probably shouldn't be captaining.
If you want to play with your friends, that's fine, you can still pick them. However, if they aren't a "carry", you shouldn't be making them one of your first picks, because you are imbalancing the teams, and your friend should still be there after the first round of picks anyways. I've seen so many captains lately outright ignore 2-3 potential first picks, and they all end up on the same team.
I'm from Canada as well, and I ping better to the tf2mix servers than I do to Dallas ESEA servers. The servers don't seem to crash ever, and they don't seem to stutter ever.
In all likelihood, you just have bad routing to the servers for whatever reason. Maybe some networking guru can correct me if this is wrong, but I think the further physical distance you have to cover, the more chances there are for something to go wrong with the routing, and you are from west coast Canada (according to your steam profile).
I've never owned a cat before so can someone answer this for me
Is this cat:
a) retarded
or
b) a cat
@Thomas
By "IDGAF quickfixing" I meant, taking every rocket jump into the enemy team with your ubersaw out, essentially just killing yourself.
I have no problem with people actually trying to use the quickfix.
HellbentFix the terrible servers while you're at it
They aren't terrible, they're just in Dallas.
I think there at times aren't nearly enough admins on tf2mix (compared to pug.na at least), and that coupled with the fact that tf2mix admins are not nearly as ban happy as pugna admins lets a lot of people get away with this stuff.
However, there is two sides to the argument. A lot of people find those games with stupid offclassing, IDGAF quickfixing, etc. to be a lot of fun, and thus don't see a problem with it. If someone starts offclassing and it's bothering you, tell them in chat, at least give them a warning, because they might not realize.
Once you've given them a warning, and they decide not to stop ruining the game for you, then you should contact an admin, and like Snowy said, they will probably do something about it.
I would however, like so see more crestricts handed out, and I think a minimum game requirement like pug.na has would be great too. The troll games often come out in obviously one sided matches, and they just plain aren't fun when you are getting rolled game after game (or rolling for that matter). I have to say, there is a lot of awful captains in tf2mix, and a lot of people captain just so they get to play.
So yeah
- more admins
- more crestricts / minimum games for captaining
- strict guidelines every admin is briefed on
- be a little closer to 0 tolerance
RangiEdyRangiAlso if anyone could point me in the direction of the Mumble plug-in that shows who’s speaking that would be awesome!
http://teamfortress.tv/forum/thread/6899/1 lots of custom ones in there. You should be able to google custom mumble overlay to find more
