The major argument against sniper in this thread seems to be revolving around skill discrepancy and new players, but I think you guy are missing what the demographic of tf2mix actually is... While it's true that it was intended for new players who can't get picked in pugna, and after playing ~400 games on tf2mix I'm gonna have to say that a very large portion of the demographic is not new players. Pugna is dead nearly the entire day before 9 or 10 EST, and even then, it's mostly invite players getting picked, which leaves IM and Main players around to go play in tf2mix.

I've played many captain games where every single person is an IM capable player, not new players. Perhaps a pregame vote to re-enable sniper would be beneficial, if you guys are adamant on keeping sniper banned.

Also, I'm still not understanding why you aren't just banning people abusing sniper. If someone is going to be an idiot and ruin a pug on sniper, then they are going to be an idiot and ruin the pug on any class.

I'd assume this is typical legalese, which they state the strictest possible case. They are probably talking about CEVO TV, or in our case whatever ends up happening with TFTV. It probably just means trying your best to start on time, and not doing the whole 'justin and co.' thing that happened on ESEA TV a few seasons ago.

Yeah it is possible on ESEA, but it's been a pain to do every single time I've tried because the website makes no sense.

To answer your question though, you have to be very diligent about your work. Only you know your schedule. If you start doing your schoolwork the moment you are free from school or work, and you don't finish in time to play TF2, then you simply don't have time to play TF2. At that points it's up to you to decide what's more important.

I've noticed a direct correlation to my school attendance and grades to my time spent playing TF2, and let me tell you it's not a positive one.

I don't see fog either, but my objects fade at a medium distance.

I thought the argument for this in the past was that is does give a visibility advantage, otherwise there wouldn't be much point in using it as it doesn't boost your FPS at all.
