#8 ESEA Open: Squid Squad vs. Blanc eSports in Events

I think the health-bars above the their head is toggle-able? I'm pretty sure they toggle it on the TFTV stream. I like it that way, so you can show it it 1v1s or situations where health matters.

#1 Looking for some graphics in TF2 General Discussion

Hello TFTV,

I'm looking for someone that could volunteer to create a few graphics for a pug related website I am finishing up. The work should be pretty easy and short (although you would be welcome to do more if you'd like to help clean up the site).
If you want some more information or would like to help please PM me or add me on steam.

Thanks

#54 TF2Pickup.net - the easiest way to play pickup in Projects
hookyLaMqTap.p We are really sorry that the USA part of the website is not ready for lauching yet...but it will be soon..really soon. ^^Considering this hasn't happened yet, it must be a Valve project.

Would really love for US TF2Pickup because #tf2mix died, meaning the only open PUGs now are ESEA, which obviously isn't accessible to UGC players unless they're willing to pay for premium. Outside of ESEA, there's only inhouse groups.

I'm working on something... Just give it a little longer

#14 1/25/15 New Open teams, how are you doing? in TF2 General Discussion

Just a reminder to all the open teams getting stomped: Not only will your season get easier as time goes on, as you already know, but sticking out your entire season as a team is by far one of the fastest ways to improve as player. If you are ready to give up, just know that you are going to be missing out on a lot of experience.

The second half of the season is always more fun.

#20 Common Core in Off Topic

Sorry, I might have worded that poorly. I think I'm understanding the goals they have and I mostly agree with them. Personally, I learned similar techniques during grade school and I think it benefited me a lot, either that or I had an aptitude for math, but I did do mental math similarly.

Mr_OwlThe reason people look at them and are confused is because they're not in the classroom learning the method.

This is my issue with it. Math is math, it should be universal. I should be able to go to nearly any country and be able to solve the math problems without any language barrier. Math should be almost entirely separate from language, as it's something more fundamental than language.

It's fine if they teach there methods, but they should be testing the students the same way they will be using math outside of grade school.

#9 Common Core in Off Topic

This seems like a "Learn this one trick to be good at math..." approach. I don't think the issues with education typically stemmed from poor education, but from culture. I think our culture could learn some lessons from others around the world that place more emphasis on education.

Just teach the kids properly, and make them work to learn it. Otherwise you get people with 0 work ethic because nothing challenged them and you get people who didn't learn shit because making an effort to learn isn't in their culture.

Also this shit looks retarded, I'd be upset if this comes to Canada.

#12 The demoman nerf: a semi-statistical analysis in TF2 General Discussion

Despite the fact I mostly play scout, demo is my favourite class and I consider myself a demo main, and to be completely honest I forgot the nerf even happened. I have noticed the lower damage stats for demo recently but I don't think that has to be a bad thing. I still find the game equally enjoyable as it was before the nerf, on every class including demo.

That said, there is a lot in this thread I agree with, I just don't think it's as big of an issue as you make it.

For what it worth I typically play with <60 ping, I don't know what kind of ping you are playing with if it's making it terrible.

If not, you might want to clarify a bit more.

#17 ESEA Pugs in TF2 General Discussion

I thought it was just a bug with 3 of them popping up at once.

While this is bumped though, I've found that these pugs aren't worth playing at all right now. The only person who ever seems to be starting them is b4nny, on Dallas servers (which is to be expected if he is west coast), but for myself and some others I've talked to playing on Dallas ESEA servers just isn't worth it. My ping is literally doubled and hitreg seems awful.

My matches on Chicago seemed fine, but Dallas just isn't worth playing on for me. (Guess I'll submit a ticket)

#115 1/13/2015 Site Update in Site Discussion

Just pointing out, currently there are too many things in the event sidebar, so the event that it tonight isn't actually even on the sidebar. It should probably be reorganized in a way that allows the close events to be at the top, rather than the reverse order.
