#23 have to present in school in Off Topic

Is this high school or college? Regardless, you should just realize most of the audience doesn't really care. When I'm watching someone present something as stupid (no offense) as a poem, I couldn't care less what he says or how he says it, as long as it finishes before the period ends so I can leave. Obviously this won't be the case if you're an English major studying poetry with a group of excited, aspiring poets. But if you're just a kid taking an intro English/poetry class for a credit (whether in high school or college), I doubt anyone is going to critique you. Most of them will be browsing their smart phones or sleeping. Trust.

#25 Vlogs in TF2 General Discussion
randomirishladIf you have some time over Christmas, I'm sure there are hundreds of people who would love to see you streaming, myself included.

I would likely be down for this. But I would need Lange to show me how to drag and drop.

#17 olympic video games? in TF2 General Discussion

I don't necessarily disagree with you but the world would have to evolve a lot to accept video games into the olympics. There are a lot of stupid shit in the olympics, but they're things that people have accepted over the years as something that takes athletic talent. Ultimate isn't even a sport and yet I can guarantee it would be more physically draining to play a game of Ultimate at an olympic level. Much more so than curling (wtf is this srsly). But video games are too different from the physical realm for people to accept them into a competition where people do 3 back flips in the air and land on their toes.

Even though I'd say good aim in FPS games takes similar precision and hand-eye coordination you'd find in a good tennis player or something. Then again, Tyrone played tennis, so take that with a grain of salt.

swedesYou should post your config + hud somewhere on your youtube. There were probably 20+ people asking for it on your latest video. I know yz50 posts it on all his videos. Gotta give em what they want!

I gave this in one of my videos, I guess I should keep posting it. It just seems pointless to me because Yz and I use the same hud+cfg+everything

#1 Vlogs in TF2 General Discussion

Since the recent growth on my YouTube account, I've been considering making a vlog every now and then about TF2; with the subscribers I have currently, considering people won't start unsubscribing, I think a well-made vlog might actually contribute some insight or interest in the community. I plan on not making it Yz50 style, meaning the vlog will have more content than forewarning about future vlog entries @_@

The only issue is I'm not sure if I'll have enough interesting content to merit vlogs. I mean, what really happens in this game besides for the invite drama? So, I'm wondering -- what would all of you like to gain from a vlog by a top player? Would they even be worth it? I would stream but my FPS gets a pounding enough as it is and my internet is, in one word, abysmal. If I end up doing this I'd want it to be worth something, not just a nerd talking about nerdy things on a webcam.

So, ideas, criticisms, interest, disinterest? Should I just stick to shitty frag clips made by baiting teammates?

#24 G400 > Deathadder? in Hardware

Razer keyboards aren't the best. Get yourself a realforce keyboard or something. As far as mice go, the DA is tied with the abyssus for the best mouse I've ever used. The tracking and precision on both sensors feel much better than any other mouse I've used.

#15 what was esports come to in Off Topic

Not sure I agree with the idea of never shit-talking. Personal insults are one thing, but shit-talking is as apt in e-sports as it is in a basketball game. Whether it's for the publicity or for your own mindgames against your opponents, it's something that shouldn't be taken too seriously unless it gets out of control. If I'm watching a game, the moment someone starts trash talking another player on the opposing team, I'm interested. It's that kind of e-drama that draws in and keeps a lot of spectators, I think. Obviously, there's a huge difference between that and a slew of personal insults that make up the entirety of the match. But, if I'm watching a Euro game between two English teams and they say "Cheerio!" or "Splendid shot!" every time something happens it gets pretty old pretty fast.

SalamancerTop esports players with no filter for their mouths will see consequences of that. You can't walk into your classroom or office and start verbally shitting on someone nearby without consequences. Same goes for esports. Consequences in this arena can include revocation of (or disqualification for) sponsorships and other monetary incentives to play the game.

This I disagree with, considering an office setting and an e-sports match are different in the same way an office setting is different from a basketball game. It's how sports are for a lot of people and spectators like it. Basketball shit-talk? Awesome. I love seeing words fly between two players. Sort of informally acquaints me with each player. To each his own I suppose.

edit: cleaned up redundant wording

#4 Quantic Gaming officially closes down in TF2 General Discussion
mi may have heard this wrong but im pretty sure the only support they provided for quantic in order to get them to lan was offering them some razer giftcards and telling them to buy razer shit and sell it on ebay to pay for their hotel rooms

maybe thats wrong, but if so thats pretty fuckin lame

I didn't even get all the items I purchased off of the Razer money they gave us. Good riddance.

Selling my Quantic Gaming shirt. Takers?

At least this can serve as an example for future teams -- never ask teamfortress.tv for a clever team name.
