#1 caboose streaming in Requests

Inspired by my roamer, I decided to start streaming.

I currently play for the ESEA-O team Drunk Girls and will be streaming a majority of scrims, pugs, and matches, but occasionally play UGC and maybe CEVO as well. I will also stream MGE, DM, pubs, and sometimes other games.

Thanks!

Interested to see how FT will learn from their mistakes and shake things up against Mixup tomorrow after this loss.

#16 Streaming Charity Event idea in TF2 General Discussion
MarxistYou could also do a bidding war to have the highest donator in that category get mentored by x player.

Please don't.

I love the TF2 community because there are always high-level people willing to help out newbies and lower-levelled players like me improve. Bl4nk's demo reviews, Newbie Mixes, MGE, seanbud's map reviews, etc. are all fueled by their own willingness to contribute. We shouldn't monetize that and end up with a system where people will help one person over others only for money. All the other ideas sound awesome, though.

#2 2012 TF2 Year in Review in News

The one thing this article is missing is noting the impact you and cbear had as casters on comp TF2 last year. Along with your guests, you guys made watching casts a million times more entertaining regardless of the countless technical issues that have plagued TF2 recently. For that, we thank you, and look forward to an even better year.

#2 Editing Help in Off Topic

Not sure if this will solve the problem, but I'd definitely recommend Lagarith Lossless Codec when compiling the frames in Virtualdub:

http://lags.leetcode.net/codec.html

I used to have the same problem while editing videos in Vegas, until I enabled GPU acceleration of video processing under preferences and turned preview quality WAY down. It still didn't make it perfectly smooth, but it helped a lot. Try searching for a similar option in Premiere.

What about rollouts for demo? I know the common/basic ones, but I'd appreciate a review of them and lesser-known variations, if any exist.

#7 Medic based frag video, Fully Charged in TF2 General Discussion

Nice video, I haven't seen a good medic movie since Taimou'd. Love the type of music too, it should really be used more often than it is.

#7 No LFS sub-forum? in Site Discussion

If you really need a scrim that late at night, I suggest adding players from the UGC forums: http://www.ugcleague.com/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=28

They're mostly low-level being UGC Steel/Platinum, but some of them might match your late night schedule. Better than nothing.

#372 my new hud. in Customization
ompcabooseI haven't read this thread completely, and I might be wrong, but from what I know your hud doesn't support 16:9 aspect ratios. Is this what's causing it?It's actually primarily designed for 16:9. However, the aspect ratio should not affect the font, but it's entirely possible the resolution does. TF2's font rendering seems to be pretty bad.

[edit] Just tested at 1366x768 specifically and it seems to be fine, at least on Linux.

So it's just my computer rendering the font poorly? Everything seems crystal clear except for the 1, 2, and 3 numerical values, so I'm not sure if that's the case. I play in windowed, no-border mode if that helps--I'd switch resolutions but 1366 by 768 is the best native resolution on my crappy monitor =/

I'll mess around with the font sizes and get back to you if anything changes.

#368 my new hud. in Customization
RAWRWAFLI really like this hud, but something that really bugs me is that the "1"s aren't showing up properly.

is there any solution to this?

I have had the same problem ever since I started using the hud, but it's not just the "1" that's cut, it's affected the most. A lot of numbers are partially cut off; I think it might be my 1366 by 768 res that's affecting it. I haven't read this thread completely, and I might be wrong, but from what I know your hud doesn't support 16:9 aspect ratios. Is this what's causing it?

Notice that the "2" and "3" numbers are also cut off partially.

Thanks for the help, this is the only flaw in an otherwise perfect hud.
