sourceCould someone please inform me why quake 1 had air strafing but quake 3 and quake 3 clones like this game have no air strafing? I know there's mods to include air strafing but wouldn't it add depth to the game if they already had air strafing by default?
air strafing might feel super intuitive to ppl like us that have played tf2/cs for so many hours but for new players air strafing can be a nightmare
strafe jumping is something you can teach someone in 5 minutes and although they might not be able to do it perfectly they'll be a lot more proficient than someone trying to learn how to airstrafe
as for depth the answer is not necessarily yes but also not necessarily no, when you change movement you change how the game plays so it's not exactly a 1 to 1 comparison of depth. tfc -> tf2 is a good comparison with this.
