So the way it works is that the winner of this match will go on to the grand finals. Once the winner of the lower bracket final is decided, then they will move also to the grand finals and fight with the winner of this match.

The advantage that the team here gets is that they will have a Bo3 advantage. If the team that comes from the lower bracket wins a Bo3 against the winner of this match, they will force another Bo3 series and they'll have to fight another Bo3. If the winner of this match wins the first Bo3 in the Grand Finals, then they automatically win.

Wait a second, how the hell is your motherboard not compatible with Ivy Bridge? The only two processor generations made by Intel that have the LGA1155 socket are Sandy Bridge and Ivy Bridge. If it's not compatible with Ivy Bridge, then it sure as hell isn't going to be compatible with Sandy Bridge, as it's over a year older than Ivy Bridge. Do you even have a compatible motherboard?

If he goes pay-to-play, he's just competing with ESEA at that point.

I've always wanted to ask this, but what is TFCL's role supposed to be? UGC was shown to be an incompetent laughing stock of the competitive community and severely hurt the player output of ESEA and it looks like TFCL is just going down the same road as UGC. Especially with the fact that Sidular is promising prizes with no buy-in; coming out of pocket and/or out of donations, there seems to be no thought on what the long-term plan is or how this is supposed to help the competitive community.

I hate to rag on you Sidular, but especially when you admit that you expected TFCL to die instantly, what's your long term goal of TFCL? You state that you want it to help players get into competitive, but then you're just turning into Highlander and UGC, which were both monumental failures in expanding competitive TF2. And without a roadmap of how you want to develop it, I find it hard to support this project. You have interesting ideas and clearly a lot of motivation behind it, but this project feels like a pipe dream we've dreamt before.

Isn't Sandy Bridge older though?

What's the difference in clock speeds? TF2's multicore support only goes to two cores and therefore relies more on the clock speed of the processor rather than how many cores it has. Laptop CPU's also usually have a low clock speed and also are throttled due to thermals.

I bought a pair of these at Office Depot for $3 around a year ago and they lasted me a long time. For $3 they sounded amazing, but I don't know about $10. If you can find some earbuds at a store nearby on the cheap, they can be pretty good.
