You can't go wrong with sennheisers but you may want to look into the various sound signatures out there and consider that as well as price/overall sound. Ie if you're a basshead ultrasones fit you better than a pair of 558s or similar.
In general something analytic/flat like the sony v6 is a one-size fits all but some enjoy more fun phones (casual listening vs studio recording and whatnot). I listen to grado 225is mostly myself because I like the odd sound signature and dont care about flat responses
Something else to consider is open back vs closed back. Open will lead to better soundstage and a more roomy feel at the cost of sound leakage (people around you hearing your music) and no noise cancellation. Closed back eliminates sound leak and helps with noise isolation plus generally more bass, at the cost of soundstage.
Amps and dacs from my knowledge aren't generally worth investing in until you have a bigger budget (eg. $150 headphones > $75 headphones + $75 amp). Hope this helped somewhat.
watching tri not miss rockets is fun (not sure if he still streams)
don't let seraph pick teams or it will be a roll
the syops oihguv server is objectively the best public mge server
nataponwhat server location/regions do people usually play pugs in NA? are there any recommendations on dedicated server hosting in those locations?
chicago servers are good (outside of esea)
smobohooliWhat can we learn from the death of irc pugs? Was it due to separating the pool of players? Or perhaps the lack of new blood? How can we prevent this in the future?...
I see what you're saying here, but from my experience the biggest problem with IRC pugs was the lack of administration and the tendancy for people to stop adding up when they see others aren't added. Unlike inhouse pugs where people start pugs with announcements or steam messages, there was no real way for irc pugs to get people to add up.
Without this motivation a lot of people would glance at the channel, realize there weren't enough players to pug, and leave the IRC. The idea of people not playing medic was only really an issue at the very end of the channels life (when most of the regulars had stopped opening the IRC in the first place) and at the very beginning.
The whole lack of seriousness you're talking about is mainly caused by the fact that most of the admins didn't pay attention to the channel or had stepped down. In the months preceding mixes death defy was the only 'active' admin, although not usually online during pugs.
As people have said, ultimately irc pugs died because people dont like idling in irc channels. Developing a good web client like the one reilly posted could definitely bring back the player base for pug.na imo.
p sure -noborder needs -windowed which you don't have in your launch options
might fix your problem
mustardoverlordI had like 1400 hours in demo before the nerf and it almost feels like I wasted a lot of the time.
did it take you that long to realize this?

srcdemo is good as well (especially if you use premiere or another editor than vegas that likes lower frame rates)
edit: iirc dxtory is similar to OBS in that it is mainly used for live streaming/broadcasting as opposed to recording videos for youtube (or whatever site). Fraps and similar programs can work for making videos but using the in game startmovie command can yield much higher quality results
video games :)

marxist has some really helpful videos, the rest of his channel has some good content on specific maps and general team positioning stuff
Unless they recently fixed it in an update, the effect viewmodel_fov 0 (little bubbles over the heal targets + no beam) used to give you isn't possible anymore but what dagger said hides the whole beam and is similar.
